Not sure that was a smart move on Trump’s part—especially in Utah.

I didn’t think a true Mormon would turn on someone so openly and viciously. Made me wonder also.

Ditto to every word you wrote = same for me, including same state (White Mts). When we were teens, they were constantly trying to get me to go party with them; but I wouldn’t. After going on their missions, the same guys were constantly trying to get me into their other gospel.

Trump is cynically using religion both as a weapon against others and as a shield for himself.

I’m not a religious person, so it doesn’t offend me in the slightest. It would be funny if it was an episode of the Apprentice, but this is the real world.

Of course. But we do have freedom of religious belief in this country so, to me at least, it is not a problem either. I still have great friends from school who, besides their being Mormon, they are no different than anyone else.

I personally believe that Mormons are much more accepted in the west than the east because that's where many of them live. Because I grew up with so many of them as friends and classmates, I accept them as I would anybody else.

On the basis that its an election year and he is trying to damage Mitt’s credentials. Mitt is an opponent who is trying to defeat Trump. Trump is trying to denigrate Romney. I would do it too. When did you get so worried about Mitt Romney?

I would think Trump thought Mormons were not back-stabbers
as a general rule.

Has there ever been a bigger and more disgusting jerk than Donald Trump? I’ve never seen anybody so quick to question other people’s faith as Trump is. Now, he’s impugning and questioning Romney’s faith because Romney had the temerity to back Cruz.

When Carson’s polls were up, Trump said he “doesn’t know what a Seventh Day Adventist is”, but we certainly shouldn’t vote for one, right? And then later, we certainly shouldn’t vote for Cruz because “not too many evangelicals come out of Cuba”. I cannot stand Trump.

With the Won as the obvious answer, I’m really not sure how you can ask this question. Seems to me, Romney is a way bigger jerk anyway, especially not counting the Won!

Romney’s religion is the Republican establishment. He is not a Mormon, anymore than Harry Reid is. I question whether Romney is even a Republican also, it seems the Republican establishment which hates the Republican base and Romney, are for Hillary.

I believe that Harry Reid is a Morman.

Ha. Ha. Next you'll be saying that Nancy Pelosi is a Catholic.

Not so fast. There is a big difference you're leaving out. Islam is not just a religion but a governmental system and legal system. It permeates the whole culture and society. It is not just a religion, in that sense. Muslims are out to destroy western civilization. They want to kill Christians, Jews and other nonbelievers by beheading them. They are viscous, barbaric people.

I can't remember the last time I heard about a band of radical Mormons going after a group of Protestants or Catholics to terrorize or behead them.

So I think you "misheard" what Muslims are all about. Because Mormons they are not.

Which makes it even odder that a Mormon would try to hijack the presidency.

“On what basis does Trump question Romney’s religion? “

Well, I was raised in the Mormon Faith and I will ( and do ) question his faith. Faithful Mormons do not behave like either Romney or Harry Reid, and the fact that they are not excommunicated from the Mormon Church is a testament to how apostate Mormon leaders are today. These men’s policical “fame” gives them a “pass” by the Mormon Church that would be extended to ordinary “believers.”
But then, go pick another “organized” religion and you will see the same practices in play. Examples include Bernie Sanders (a Jew) and Nancy Pelosi (a Catholic).
