Bundy must remain in custody
Las Vegas Review-Journal ^ | 3/17/2016 | Jeff German

Posted on 03/18/2016 4:03:33 AM PDT by Nextrush

Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy was ordered Thursday to remain behind bars as he awaits trial on a slew of criminal charges tied to the April 2014 armed standoff with law enforcement near Bunkerville.

Following a brief detention hearing, U.S. Magistrate Judge Bill Hoffman found that no conditions of release could be fashioned to ensure that Bundy would appear for his May 2 trial.

Hoffman said the serious nature of the charges against Bundy, the weight of the government's evidence, and Bundy's history of disobeying court orders all figured in his decision.......

Outside the courthouse afterward, Bundy's wife, Carol Bundy, criticized the judge's decision.

"This just proves the federal government is totally out of control," she said. "Where does it say that the federal government has jurisdiction over a sovereign state of Nevada?"......

Such a weak excuse;

"Following a brief detention hearing, U.S. Magistrate Judge Bill Hoffman found that no conditions of release could be fashioned to ensure that Bundy would appear for his May 2 trial."

As if his innocence and determination to prove his innicence is not enough inducement to stay in the fight

I really DO hate lefties.

This is fascinating.

So an American rancher, tied to his land for generations, is a “flight risk”?

They bond out Mexican drug traffickers in federal courts in the Southwest.

Clearly Bundy is being held as a political prisoner of the Obama-Lynch crime cartel.

Meanwhile.....

The state Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation into Grant County Sheriff Glenn Palmer, who met with militants from the wildlife refuge takeover in eastern Oregon and urged authorities to concede to some of their demands. The investigation will be handled by the Criminal Justice Division in Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum's office. The division investigates public corruption as part of its duties.

I hope somebody reminds the sheriff that according to The Constitution he is the ultimate authority in his county. I hope he counters by promising to arrest any federal agents who step into his county.

I don’t know if you’re up to speed but when the investigation was concluded by Oregon authorities, they found that an FBI agent didn’t tell them about two live rounds fired at Finicum’s truck when he drove it into the snow next to the roadblock and got out.

A shot hit the roof of the truck, went through and shattered a windshield. LaVoy Finicum appears to have been drawing fire away from the truck with his running.

Link to news story: http://www.oregonlive.com/oregon-standoff/2016/03/bullet_casings_disappear_from.html

He said stuff like ‘shoot me’ perhaps because he was aware of the truck being shot at by the FBI agent. The OSP trooper thought that was ‘threatening’ so he shot, a shooting the Oregon investigation claims was ‘justified’.

A leak to the media after the investigation actually said five FBI agents worked the snow in the dark to take away their shell casings so the Oregon investigators wouldn’t find them.

Uh - I doubt LAVOY FINICUM or his family would agree with
that statement.

And meanwhile, Occupy, an anarcho-communist organization that caused multiple million dollars of damage in large cities throughout the country, for months on end, camped out in public buildings, parks and streets, blocking traffic, denying access to businesses, defecating and urinating in public, leaving tons of refuse on the ground, looting, destroying property, even committing arson, rape and murder, is allowed to re-invent itself as a “Think-tank” and Lobbying organization.

Holy cow, that is downright chilling. I thought with the FBI getting some heat, things would start to turn around.
