Lindsey Graham may have thrown his support behind Ted Cruz Thursday, but he hasn't always had such kind words about the Texas senator. Graham who is well known for his colorful statements once said that Cruz was so hated in Congress that if someone murdered him, theyd get away with it.
Here are 10 times the South Carolina senator and former presidential candidate bashed the same guy hell be fundraising for Monday:
1. "If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody could convict you," Graham said, referencing Cruzs unpopularity with his colleagues, at the Washington Press Club Foundation's 72nd Congressional Dinner.
2. Its like being shot or poisoned, Graham told reporters at a press conference in January when asked who he preferred between Donald Trump and Cruz. What does it really matter?
3. At the same news conference, Graham said that when it comes to Sen. Cruz, he's exhibited behavior in his time in the Senate that make it impossible for me to believe that he could bring this country together.

Cruz’ only role is to deny Trump a first ballot victory. After that his new found “supporters” will dump him and install Ryan, Romney or Kasich.
And suddenly El Rushbo is just an entertainer who’s fun to listen to. He’s not serious about humping the D.C. establishments leg. Oh, and the Bush dynasty hates Cruz...
Riiiiight.
Roughly equal to an Olympia Snow endorsement.
Now Linda supports him?
Does Cruz and his supporters realize he is being used?
The next step after Graham is news that "serious" people like Ryan are listening to what Cruz has in mind and Mitch may accept a private apology. He'll lap it up dutifully doing whatever tricks they say he's expected to do in order to hang with the in crowd.

Lindsey Graham has said terrible things about Cruz. He really hates him.
The only reason he is supporting Cruz is to defeat Trump and divide the party.
There is no way he wants Cruz to win the nomination. Cruz is very intelligent. He must realize this. Why won't he work to unify the party and help to win in November?
Power.
If Cruz drops out now, he gets nothing. Understand?
If Trump wins 1,237 delegates, Cruz is out in the cold. His delegates provide no leverage. The whole campaign ends up with him having nothing.
Please understand that.
If Trump ends up with 1100 delegates, then Cruz has a bargaining chip. He can endorse Trump and release his delegates in exchange for the VP slot.
When you understand, and accept, what Cruz is doing it makes perfect sense. And the establishment is just grasping at smoke hoping to have a miracle to prevent Trump or Cruz from getting the nomination.
Cruz is making a play for the VP slot. The only way he gets it is by being useful to Trump. The only way he is useful to Trump is if Trump falls short.
But all that is now forgiven, because he is supporting Cruz now...
“Cruz only role is to deny Trump a first ballot victory.”
I don’t think that Cruz believes that, but it’s the role that his newfound GOPe pals have in store for him.
They don’t have any more use for Cruz than they do for Trump, other than to make this an open convention where they can nominate Jeb or Ryan or Romney.
Why doesn't he work to unify the party and try to put an end to this brokered convention and 3rd party run talk.
I think Cruz would be better as a Supreme Court Judge than VP. He is extremely intelligent. VP is basically a nothing job. Biden can do it.
I wonder if Lindsey has an escape plan in case the Donald wins in November?
And principled Ted will take the money
San Francisco with flowers in his hair ?
Wow.. you have it all figured out.
What’s your call on the Stock Market, March Madness, NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL?
Beck has assured his radio listeners that Ted will NEVER accept a VP spot from Trump. Beck cites his conversation with Teds wife Heidi
If that is true your whole argument is moot and points to an arrogance that is baffling
Beck assures his radio listeners a lot of things that are ridiculous.
Would Heidi say “Ted has no interest in being Vice President” during a campaign? Sure. Any candidate would unless they wanted to lose supporters and donors faster than Rubio.
Don’t look at the bluster and rhetoric, look at the numbers, put yourself in Trump’s place, in Cruz’s place, even in Lindsay Graham’s place. Find out what each man wants, figure out what it will take to get there, and then see what scenarios make the most sense from the numbers that are available.
He can do it a 1000 time. Cruz is still a better choice than POW/vet hater tRUMP.
