Trump is such a chicken. He knows he does badly in “debates,” so he was going to try to grandstand off in a solo act elsewhere. Glad the others didn’t go along with it.

No, what I meant (I guess I didn’t express it well) is that by canceling they wouldn’t let themselves be manipulated by Trump, who wants at all costs to avoid debates.

I’m not surprised in the least that Trump does not wish to have his inexperience and lack of expertise exposed by Cruz in a small group setting. Why allow your adoring throngs to watch you get chewed up and spit out by a truly superior intellect such as Cruz?
Were I in Trump’s position, I’d do the same thing.
