Congress unanimous on ISIS genocide of Christians; Pressure mounts on White House

Pressure is mounting on the Obama administration to take action following a unanimous Congressional vote Monday approving a resolution to designate the persecution of Christians and other minorities in the Mid East by the Islamic State as “genocide.”

The resolution, which passed in the House in a 383-0 vote, comes ahead of a March 17 deadline requiring Secretary of State John Kerry to announce a final decision.

The designation would legally categorize the targeting, torture, uprooting and slaughtering of Christians, Yazidis and Kurds as "genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity."

For the executive branch to officially take a position on such a determination, however, entails a more detailed legal review, requiring Sec. Kerry and his legal advisors to determine whether the treatment of Christians and others meets the definition of “genocide,” which according to the United Nations Convention is "acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group."

Its very clear that Emperor Obama despises doing anything to reflect negatively on his fellow Muslims.

"I don’t believe Obama cares"

Sure he cares. It is a great accomplishment for his co-religionists and the advancement of Islam over the infidels.

Middle East and terrorism, occasional political and Jewish issues Ping List. High Volume

If you’d like to be on or off, please FR mail me. ..................

Of course it meets the test of acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, just listen to the terrorist's words. And note, the test is destroy, not murder. The expulsion of Jews from their millennia long homes in the Mideast and North Africa was an act of genocide as well. A very successful one which to this day incurs no criticism.

Article II: In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Article III: The following acts shall be punishable:

(a) Genocide;
(b) Conspiracy to commit genocide;
(c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide;
(d) Attempt to commit genocide;
(e) Complicity in genocide.

Anyone besides me ever hear incitement to commit genocide from the Arab world?

A few were probably legit. Even if you’re OK with attacks on Christians, it’s hard to come out and say it.

I can't believe there isn't an uproar about the government referring to it as 'ISIL'. They don't even call themselves that.

It's just another ploy to eradicate the existence of Israel....and people don't even notice!
