5. Evaluation
There is sufficient evidence in humans for the
carcinogenicity of formaldehyde. Formaldehyde
causes cancer of the nasopharynx and leukaemia.
Also, a positive association has been observed
between exposure to formaldehyde and sinonasal
cancer.

animals for the carcinogenicity of formaldehyde.
