Republicans controlling the House are pressing ahead with an annual fiscal measure despite hardening opposition from tea party conservatives over its endorsement of higher spending permitted by last year’s bipartisan budget and debt deal.

Several GOP lawmakers exiting a Monday evening strategy session said House Budget Committee Chairman Tom Price is expected to unveil a 10-year budget plan on Tuesday and hold a committee vote this week. The committee confirmed later Monday that it is moving ahead. […]

Price, R-Ga., has worked hard to try to develop consensus but has so far been stymied by several dozen conservatives who continue to oppose an additional $46 billion or so in higher spending for the Pentagon and domestic agencies next year in keeping with a budget deal negotiated between President Barack Obama, former Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and other top leaders. …

How much will the GOP give away to their crony capitalist friends this year?

The Senate is expected to skip the budget debate altogether and instead go straight to the annual spending bills under a little-noticed provision added to last year’s bipartisan deal that permits the shortcut.
It does need to be stopped now. Nobody in “givernment” is inclined to, though.

This is an attempt by the establishment to put the government on auto-pilot no matter who is in the White House.

Think of the money we would save if the republicans just stop pretending they are different than democrats and acknowledge they are part of the Uniparty.

Every year there are billions spent on elections around the country.

Once the republicans come out of the closet the Uniparty won’t need to run pretend elections any more.

They can just come out and openly appoint who they want instead of trying to hide it with fake elections like they do now.

Just look at the bogus democrat primary as an example.
The more elections Bernie wins the more delegates Hillary wins.

Once they all admit there is only one party this nonsense won’t be necessary for either party.

The money saved could be used to raise politicians pay so we get a higher grade of crook in office.

Yup. Bye-bye separation of powers, never mind just consent; the agenda is all.

“This is an attempt by the establishment to put the government on auto-pilot no matter who is in the White House.”

Absolutely Correct. This needs to be stopped. Paul Ryan is doing Mitt Romney’s bidding as Speaker. The establishment is working on several fronts behind the scenes hoping no one is watching.

Call them, Call them......

A budget? What the hell is that? I have vague recollections of this thing called a budget. Does anyone know when we last actually had one?

The same Freedom Caucus that made Paul Ryan speaker?

“The same Freedom Caucus that made Paul Ryan speaker?”

If you cared to check, you will find out that the Freedom Caucus was responsible for eliminating the conditions Ryan placed on being Speaker of requiring a supermajority rather than a simple majority to remove the Speaker.

It was clearly responsible for Boehner stepping down as well.

Not optimum, but sometimes one has to take what was can get.
See another group in the House that has done better you would suggest supporting, and I will gladly back them.
