This sounds more like a huge boondoggle with over-advertised results, than like a comprehensive Big Brother. I wonder what the quality of the data gathered is like.
It is certainly a huge boondoggle. Another way to increase their staffing & funding at our expense, for no good purpose.
Just keep in mind that the elites in Washington DC and New York are far more comfortable mingling with their counterparts in Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Riyadh, London Abu Dhabi, Mumbai and Moscow than they are with any of us.
And their children will all run in the same circles, too.
For all of civilized history, there has been the 1% caste of hereditary elite that rules, and the 10% literate/competent who actually run the business of state for the elite. Everyone else is dirt.
The United States was the exception to this, but we have run our course and will be relegated to the same.
Not to worry, if they need to find you on a list, they will.
Zero for UN funding in the next budget. Maybe they will leave NYC and take their fleas with them.
The biggest fraud and abuse in global temperature measurements has been the abandonment and lack of calibration of temperature measuring stations.
Back about 25 years ago there were about 30,000 measuring stations around the world, now there are about only 8,000 left, and modelers have to ‘extrapolate’ temperatures across stations some 1,200 Km apart.
It is ridiculous how billions and billions of dollars have been miss-spent on who knows what on global warming, while the data gathering stations have been abandoned.
Its like: ‘Who needs real data? we have models..’

In attempting to cover at least some of that ground, the so-called “draft global indicators framework” likely will add huge new volumes of information that governments collect as they measure progress toward what amounts to a global socialist or progressive agenda.
