Ohio Gov. John Kasich wants to allow law-abiding undocumented immigrants to achieve legal status, saying many immigrants "contribute a lot to the United States."
"The 12 million who are here, we ought to find out who they are. If they've been law-abiding over a period of time, they ought to be legalized and they ought to be able to stay here," the Republican presidential candidate told CNN's "State of the Union" program Sunday.

Just how is a CRIMINAL INVADER, IDENTITY THIEF, TAX CHEAT... Law Abiding???
Exactly what I wanted to post, but figured it would be on here more than once already :)
Give them a path paved with benefits. Then, when citizenship is attained it would be inhumane to reduce the benefits.
If they were abiding by the law, they wouldn’t have come into the country illegally.
Not sure. Let’s ask the liberals. Many have mastered one or all those points in there personal life, right?

I was going to say the same thing! At this point why even have immigration laws.
Law-abiding illegals don’t exist.
Still, I strongly believe that those who have entered our country illegally should have a way of obtaining citizenship, and it’s the one they have now.
Go back where they came from, and apply for legal residence in the same way everyone else does.
I don’t object to allowing these people to enter the country legally. Most of them are perfectly decent people trying to make a better life for their families.
But I do object to giving them any sort of priority over those who have been following the rules, for no reason other than that they haven’t.
