Mostly northern CA made the smartest cities and seven cities in the bay area made the top ten smartest. That makes sense, as I came from the bay area.
Our majority Latin pop cities have lower violent crime rates than large black enclaves, though higher than lily white areas.
Where did Rio Linda place?
Cannot believe Compton did not make the list. The number without HS diploma there has to approach 100%.
This is a tough one. the cities with the highest dropout rate have over 50% Hispanic population. Traditionally Hispanic Males jump into the workforce early du to a cultural thing. Unless we change the culture, this won’t end
I’m not buy into having a high school diploma as making your smart, nor the lack of one making you dumb.
Its funny to hear liberals accuse Trump of racism when CA’s gentry liberals rule their unwashed illegal masses from inside their lily white gated communities. They preach about multicult diversity but don’t practice it at home.
The top leadership of the Democratic Party is lily white and yet its the other side that’s supposed to be racist and intolerant.
We do get it.
dumbest and smartest relative to what? Other California cities or the world?
“There are lies, damn lies and then there are statistics!” - Mark Twain (allegedly)
My I remember living in Berkeley and people regularly telling me: You know, the Bay Area is the brains of California and Los Angeles and San Diego are the legs of California. Lame analogy.
The smartest Californians went to another state five years ago.

“They got their inspiration from the Washington Post, which in a similar survey ranked the smartest states in the country; California came in at 34th.”
Seems they looked for the cities with populations which have the most formal education.
How would they rank is they asked the citizens:
1) Do you believe in Anthropogenic Global Warming?
2) Has Obama been good for America?
3) Have you used “recreational drugs” this month?
4) Do you have a “COEXIST” sticker on your car or a “CHE!” poster on your bedroom wall?
etc, etc.
(I'm a Hermosa Beach resident/homeowner.)
Sounds about right to me.
