This is a reason why I despise early voting.
Things can happen the last day or two which are very powerful.
Those who already voted can*t change. their vote.
Unless, of course, they are Democrats, which means they only have 40-50 more votes they can cast.

Agreed! There are lots of folks out there regretting their Cruz votes.
I hate early voting and mail in voting, too. It trivializes voting. If voting is important enough to folks, they won't schedule anything (including vacations) that prevents it. The other factor is it cuts down the effect of events near election time, which usually helps incumbents.
This time there's a silver lining. I wonder how many "anybody but Trump" votes have already been cast for someone who's no longer in the running.
And a 180° from that. Think of the poor gullible folks in Ohio who fell for K-sick’s lying conservative BS and voted early for him; to hear him today ranting about how he’ll legalize all the illegal aliens within his first 100 days.
