Clarice Feldman reports on the DC GOP Primary (something fishy)

The DC primary was scheduled for June 15, but the RNC said that was too late for their rules so the DC Republican party rented rooms in a DC hotel to hold balloting for president and delegates to the convention. Polling was scheduled for 2-4 PM, although because it falls on the Sabbath they will allow orthodox Jews to vote after sundown. (A number of DC Republicans are orthodox Jews.)

I arrived shortly after 1. The line stretched around the block…. It took me an hour and a half to get through the ballot lines and out. One of the workers told we there are 27,000 registered Republicans in DC. When I passed thru -- about the midway point -- he told me 10,000 had already voted and they had not anticipated turnout would be so high.

*snip*

The official results show 2,448 (update: 2,839) votes cast:

I grew up in Indiana and maintained my voting there until I retired. I now live in Maryland. In Indiana the primary voting was in May and the same here in Maryland, except for this year it is at the end of April. Both times are too late to really influence the nominating process with the ‘winner take all’ system. Thus I can see the DC Repubs moving their primary earlier. Nefariousness involved or not? good question, but at least those who showed up got a better representation than balloting in June, when the nomination is usually wrapped up.

Who cares? No GOP nominee will win DC in November.

The RNC and DNC cartel is completely corrupt beyond repair.

In WY thier voting was held by who, total votes cast about 2,500.

So some people are afforded more opportunities to vote, and on a religious test no less. Interesting.

No, but this stuff is very important because it’s giving Teddy little dribs and drabs of delegates that are denied Trump.

It’s like the OH ballot with two places to vote, which, if you don’t vote in both places, one of those goes to the state GOPe to award delegates-—which will go to Kay-sick.

Just more dirty tricks.

It wasn’t that they changed the date that was nefarious, it was that it seems all the votes weren’t counted.

Nobody will win DC in November. DC Residents aren’t allowed to vote in the General Election. Neither are the Virgin Islands, Samoa, Puerto Rico or Guam.

“...it seems all the votes weren’t counted.” That IS nefarious.

the way it’s phrased by IBTimes, someone in the GOP-e was psychic: “turnout of just several thousand voters in Washington DC was so small that balloting was limited to a downtown hotel,”

Not disputing Mr. Feldman’s eyewitness account, but Wapo, CBS news and NBC news are reporting the same totals (100% in)d as each other, but NBC has left it as ‘projected winner”
