Hillary Clinton’s statement in response to an outbreak of violence at Republican Party front-runner Donald Trump’s Chicago rally was aimed at encouraging political unity. But instead, many reacted to her statement with disappointment.

“The divisive rhetoric we are seeing should be of grave concern to us all,” Clinton said in the statement issued after midnight on Saturday morning. “We all have our differences, and we know many people across the country feel angry.”

Bernie supporters didn't like the fact that Hillary called for unity. They feel she is soft on Trump because she said unity is good.

She just drove a wooden stake into the heart of Bernie’s campaign.

The violence and riots doesn’t play with older Democrats.
Bernie needs the super delegates to seem to be her sole method of getting delegates in order to challenge the legitimacy of her nomination. Now she will have the support of the majority older democrats in addition to the super delegates.

The super delegates who have voted for her have the cover of “cooler heads prevailing even if Hillary loses to Trump.

So has Bernie Sanders renounced the violent tactics of his supporters? Has anyone even asked?

I wish Clinton would just shut the hell up. Her endless, nagging, whining and screeching is driving me insane.

It was obvious BS that Bernie supporters would go ABC and vote for Trump. It turns out the little commies are the real traitors.
Too bad Hillary had more class than Rubio and Cruz. SMH

C'mon FReepers, this is classic Clinton and it's straight out of the Alinsky playbook. Do you really think Hillary is calling for civility when she and her surrogates are the ones giving tacit approval of the thugs disrupting Trump's speeches?

It's also the old "both parties are to blame" excuse, whenever an issue looks bad to the Dems. These thugs are turning off many older Democrats who voted for both Reagan and Bill Clinton.

Hilda finds herself with more unwanted interests than ever before The normal vile banter we’re used to has been benched
She has serious “other” concerns I fully expect her to “rest” soon....take a few days off. To gather her thoughts and lawyers.

But! “We MUST all work together ... (as long as the evil, racist, white, capitalistic, Christian republicans surrender all of their values and freedoms to international socialism.)”

Exactly!

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. ~ Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps.

“The divisive rhetoric we are seeing should be of grave concern to us all,”

“Republicans are the enemy.” Prior debate.

“The violence and riots doesn’t play with older Democrats.”

Most of the “older Democrats” have long since become Republican. The rest of the “older Democrats,” i.e. those who created or supproted the 1968 riots at the Dem convention in Chicago, are now in their late 60s to 70s, and some even older. Those are the committed, aging hippies (think: Commies).

“divisive rhetoric”

Synonymous today with “avoiding the truth”.
