The use of the word ‘free’ deceives many. A more accurate word would be managed for the benefit of the international few (financiers, corporatists, and their statist minions in politics).
The whole ‘free trade’ agenda has been sold the US citizens in a very duplicitous manner.
IMHO this is why Trump has the the recipient of such vitriol from both the -D’s and many -R’s.
If our borders were secured and immigration were run for the benefit of the US citizens there would be a major dent the gravy train supported by stealing wealth from the workers of the US.
FYI Cruz has a long history of supporting ‘free trade’ Most recently he supported TPA which enabled TPP. Cruz set it up so he could ‘see the light’ and vote against TPA. At the same time Cruz penned an op-ed with Ryan in support of ‘free trade’ and working with Ryan behind the scenes to attache TPA to a bill about pensions.
