The NBC Connecticut Troubleshooters have learned Hartford city leaders are looking into the possibility of asking the state for help dealing with their troubled finances.
Multiple sources familiar with the Hartford's financial situation tell the Troubleshooters that legislation could be finalized as soon as today that would open the door for state oversight. Those sources told the Troubleshooters, a meeting is set for tonight in the mayor's office to review a draft oversight board statute that would then be submitted to the Connecticut General Assembly.
Over the past couple of weeks, Mayor Luke Bronin has said that every option is on the table when it comes to getting Hartford's finances in line and balancing the budget.

The rest of Connecticut’s citizens can’t afford it. We’re just about broke ourselves,Paying our own taxes to the State and our own local governments.
Dozens of cities will soon admit that they can’t continue to pay their debts. The ones that do so first will be the ones to get the bail-outs. After just a little while, the states will be tapped out too. Then it’s hat in hand to the feds.
Maybe another bus way will fix all of the problems, right? If that doesn’t work maybe build another stadium.

And a subway system with stations that provide connections the bus way and high-speed rail. If that doesn’t solved the budget problems, I don’t know what will.
The solution is obvious to me =- Tax the rich.
