One sincerely suspects that Ms. Clarno's claim of feelings of guilt are a mere performance.
Were she on trial, Ms. Clarno would not want veterans (including this one) on her jury.

This is to be expected when you populate a government bureaucracy with people who it’s almost impossible to fire, or even seriously discipline for incompetence and wrongdoing.
No government reform is possible as long as the worker drones are unionized.
My bottom line on this - in the Democratic universe, and that includes Unions, political loyalty is more important than a person’s life, particularly a Veteran’s life.
Two Democratic Congressmen had the ability to “Cross the aisle” on this issue but didn’t. I have to wonder who advised them not to stand up for a person’s life?
IMHO everyone who can be named in this issue needs to be brought before the bar and charged with accessory to MURDER! Starting with the two Congressmen, then this union president, and going all the way down the line. Let me assure you that that one action would stop all similar acts by everyone who is, might be, or may be involved in the future. When their personal freedom is at stake things will change very rapidly and will stay changed. Actions like this have been infamous in the VA since the 1980’s (see Hollywood’s 1992 movie - Article 99 and then compare it to VA actions in the last decade).
A more drastic change would be VA employment at ALL levels is based on prior military service - no DD Form 214 no employment.
One final thought - the reason Veterans have always received the sh*** end of the stick is we can not offer the polirican what they most desire - money, manpower and votes. But the politicans can order us to .....
They should be on a gibbet..

The VA will fight a Veteran to the death over a nickel, but say nothing when their executives turn in $300,000 bills for moving expenses.
And people in Puerto Rico are receiving Social Security Disability because they speak Spanish.
Speaking Spanish is a disability and we pay them for that.

My daughter is a union leader at Caterpillar in ND. A liberal that said, “Kiss my ass”, when I asked her to explain her thinking on something liberal.
