You folks have gone round the bend.

If a low life voted for Reagan, would that disturb you knowing Reagan would be a great president?

And yet here you go, trying to make a big deal out of the fact that I don’t care how Trump gets elected.

I didn’t care how Reagan made it either.

You folks have sunkin into nut job buffoonery.

The founders believed that “we the people” should be in charge of our nation.

They also had LIMITS on just who were to be included in "we the people".

In our infinite wisdom; we've allowed those without skin in the game to become the dog that wags the tail.

One day at the store my change came up to $17.76.
I pointed out the amount and said, “That was a good year”.
The cashier didn’t get it.
So I said, “You know, the year 1776”.
Cashier: “I don’t get it”.
I said, “You know, July 4th, 1776”.
Cashier: “I’m not good with dates”.

Sigh.

I merely replied to you on threads where you addressed me.

I didn’t follow you around the forum bringing up something that took place between us on another thread.

If you remained on the same topic from another thread, I may not have realized we were on another thread, but then I wouldn’t have been the one who changed threads and remained on that same topic, would I.

You look at how you addressed me, and ask yourself if you would have responded differently.

I like to comment when the bill is in even dollars: $XX.00

I say, “What are the odds of this happening?”

Usually a blank stare is forth coming.

I then say, “A hundred to one!”

A pause - they brighten a bit and say, “Oh. Yeah.”

Then I come back with, “What’s the odds of a bill ending in .77?”

The stare returns.

“How about .33?”

A confused look..

“It’s still 1 to 100!”

Usually by then they get it; but some are just simply befuddled.

“And these people vote.”

Probably not most of them, only 60-50% of people who are eligible bother to vote in national elections. But supposedly the 10% of dumbest voters, those who vote one way and then another for reasons that they usually can’t explain, are the ones who decide elections. All the money spent campaigning is to convince the dumbest voters, because they are the ones that can be swayed one way or another. So every candidate puts on this kabuki play hoping that it will be good enough to attract the dim wits.

Freegards

Hey; I go to Wal-Mart and I will put my knowledge of American History and civics up against politician currently in office (course that’s not saying much, is it).
I am willing to challenge any current college professor of American History or Civics, perhaps not on the tiny details, but at least on what was considered common knowledge in 1956.

There are 10 kinds of people in this country:

Those that understand binary numbers and them that do not.
