China making contact with aliens on behalf of all earthlings ... what could possibly go wrong?
I’d think intelligent life is out there, though that we are exceedingly unlikely to ever detect it.
What we might eventually see is evidence of photosynthesis in the atmospheres of some nearby “earthlike” planets.
But the detection of signals seems of very low probability, and becomes essentially zero outside of our galaxy.
