The people responsible for Operation Fast and Furious need to be wearing orange jumpsuits in Ft. Leavenworth, KS, or sent to Gitmo as domestic and foreign terrorists.

Is it merelу coincidence? Or, are government agencies imbedded so deeplу with cartel members that prosecution is impossible without disclosing informants or “national securitу” issues?

This is one of the reasons the "war on drugs" is so damaging. Black markets make corruption flourish. Of course the government doesn't mind the corruption, as long as all the right pockets are properly lined.

Also, this article is at least partially whitewash. We know that Obama and company were planning to use gun violence south of the border as a talking point for American gun control, at least until it was discovered that they were, in fact, arming the cartels. Between corruption and agenda driven policies, the rot runs deep.

Recent speculation about Fast and Furious claims the Mexican government knew nothing about the ATF gun-walking program.

That is not a recent speculation that was a known fact from the earliest days of the F&F story breaking.
