The only people in Austin that actually go to this carnival are dimocrap types anyways. Losers, hipsters, foreigners, and millennials. It is an event geared to help hotels and failing music venues.

Don’t think 90+ y/o GHWB who is in a wheelchair was out campaigning for Jeb. He did attend the Texas debate near his home. Barbara, also 90+ y/o and on a walker, made a brief appearance in NH on one day. GWB & Laura going is sufficient representation by the Bush clan.
GHWB had flaws as POTUS; he was no Ronald Reagan. Barbara is at best a left of center moderate. But cut two elderly people some slack. He was the youngest Naval Aviator in WWII, and was masterful in forming the international coalition in Gulf War I. They can do no harm to the country, you, or anyone else at this point.
He even went to Mandela’s funeral in Africa even though Mandela had no relevance to U.S.
If Mandela had behaved differently on coming to power he could have hurt US interests -- and something like that could still happen. So yes, there was some relevance.
Did not attend and will not attend, because both are Christian based.

I read that Nancy didn’t care for Barbara, but Lady Bird and Mrs. Ford were very friendly with each other. I wouldn’t think Rosalyn would care for Nancy because of 1980.
