Burns, OR - An FBI agent is suspected of lying about firing twice at Robert "LaVoy" Finicum and may have gotten help from four other FBI agents in covering up afterward, authorities revealed Tuesday.
The bullets didn't hit Finicum and didn't contribute to his death, but now all five unnamed agents, part of an elite national unit, are under criminal investigation by the U.S. Justice Department. Inspector General Michael Horowitz is leading the independent inquiry.
The remarkable disclosure came as a team of local investigators released findings that two state troopers shot Finicum three times in the back during the chaotic scene at a police roadblock Jan. 26. One bullet pierced his heart, an autopsy showed.
A prosecutor ruled the fatal shooting was legally justified, saying state law allows use of deadly force when officers believe a person is about to seriously injure or kill someone. Finicum kept moving his hands toward a pocket that contained a loaded handgun. Although he was shot from behind, Finicum had a trooper in front of him armed with a Taser who was thought to be in danger.
Finicum, 54, an Arizona rancher, was one of the leaders of the Jan. 2 takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge near Burns.
Investigators gave no details to explain why the one FBI agent, a member of the Hostage Rescue Team, wouldn't report the two shots. They also didn't indicate what his four colleagues on the team did to warrant investigation other than saying it was related to conduct after the shooting.

Oh WOW....this is BAD. Far worse than I thought it would be. It’s criminal...both in the initial acts and in the coverup. And possibly in the planning also. What kind of monsters do we hire in government now?
Obama labels Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Street, etc., as protesters. Obama labels American patriots as terrorists. The FBI HRT goon squad prides themselves on following orders. I’ve seen enough. I’ll call this murder.
Ambushed and killed his son, no provocation.
Shot his wife IN THE HEAD as she held her baby.
Lied about the initial shooting, lied about losing the front door of the complex.
Wantonly and needlessly drove their tanks atop the graves outside the complex, kept them up at night with lights and blaring music.
Raucous, frat party seige atmosphere.
Then they burned them all to death, including 20 kids, lied their a$$ses off about it afterwards.
I told you all, that video clearly showed him being ambushed and murdered.
The FBI using deadly force before they reached the roadblock.
They try to kill the people in the SUV for like 5 minutes after Lavoy is down and they are yelling STOP.
Their tactics are crap. How many times do you see an officer in the line of fire of another? I count about 3 or 4. I am amazed officers weren’t shot by their own. I would have kicked my Marines butts for either shooting or getting in the line of friendly fire like that.
Nothing ever happened to Lon Horiuchi, the FBI sniper who shot her. Nothing.

They pretended to be my friend, and when I was with them for questioning, they lied, saying they reallly needed a random actor for a TRAINING FILM they just happened to be making that day:
They said for the film the needed "a suspect" to break down under questioning and confess "to some bombing".
I was totally going to do it, as I idolized "real cops" for years, but all of a sudden I realized the tape could also be misrepresented as MY OWN CONFESSION.
I called my college buddy, who'd since become a lawyer, and he told me to get the hell out of there.
I came withing a nanometer of being locked up for life as an innocent man.
REMEMBER: THE FBI WAS OKAY FRAMING ME UP.

I lived in Peachtree Hills at the time and was out in Buckhead when a cop told me about the bombing downtown. The rest was a clown show. The investigation was a joke.
It’s been going on for decades. Nobody has the parts to do anything about it.
They murder an American and you’re worried about tactics?
