Holy God,
Your Word tells us that Your Name shall be put upon Your children and You will bless them. There is no other Name by which we choose to be identified, Father. You are the eternal God of the universe, and underneath are Your everlasting arms. You have loved us with an everlasting love. This knowledge is more than we can even fathom. Help us, Lord, to be able to comprehend the breadth, the length, the depth, and the height of Your love; to know Your love that passes all knowledge, and to be filled with all of its fullness.
Father, we seek the beautiful blessing that You gave Your people long ago, and we speak it over our military men and women. May You bless them and keep them. May You cause Your face to shine upon them and be gracious unto them. And may You lift up Your countenance upon them and give them peace. Thank You, Father, for Your powerful protection over them and for showing favor toward those who call You Lord.
Bless all Israel everywhere, Lord----those living in the Holy Land and those living in every other corner of the earth. Father, we pray that all people everywhere would come to know and receive the Savior.
We ask for righteous leadership in this nation, Father----for those who will stand strong in support of the Constitution and who will take seriously the privilege of serving the people of America. We pray for those who will seek solutions that restore freedom instead of taking more away. And we pray for those who are guided by Your wisdom and understanding. Call them to this service, Lord, we pray.
Thank You for the privilege of being able to pray with others throughout this nation. Though we may never meet this side of heaven, we come together in common faith and in love of our Savior, seeking Your highest blessings for our country, our leaders, and our military. And we pray that Your Name is glorified in all that transpires through this prayer effort. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

May we rediscover the ideas of liberty underlying our nation's liberty.
The following is reprinted with permission
Our Constitution embodied a UNIQUE IDEA. Nothing like it had ever been done before. The power of the idea was in the recognition that people's rights are granted directly by the Creator - not by the state - and that the people, then, and only then, grant rights to government. The concept is so simple, yet so very fundamental and far-reaching.
America's founders embraced a previously unheard-of political philosophy which held that people are "...endowed BY THEIR CREATOR with certain unalienable rights.." This was the statement of guiding principle for the new nation, and, as such, had to be translated into a concrete charter for government. The Constitution of The United States of America became that charter.
Other forms of government, past and present, rely on the state as the grantor of human rights. America's founders, however, believed that a government made up of imperfect people exercising power over other people should possess limited powers. Through their Constitution, they wished to "secure the blessings of liberty" for themselves and for posterity by limiting the powers of government. Through it, they delegated to government only those rights they wanted it to have, holding to themselves all powers not delegated by the Constitution. They even provided the means for controlling those powers they had granted to government.
This was the unique American idea. Many problems we face today result from a departure from this basic concept. Gradually, other "ideas" have influenced legislation which has reversed the roles and given government greater and greater power over individuals. Early generations of Americans pledged their lives to the cause of individual freedom and limited government and warned, over and over again, that eternal vigilance would be required to preserve that freedom for posterity.

Great and mighty God,
I thank you for your protection.
You protected my Grandfather in WWI You protected my father during WWII. You protected me during the Vietnam war as I served in the Army.
You protected my son as he served 15 years across three wars.
Lord, you are able to protect our current heroes now serving.
Protect them not only from the enemy on the outside.
Evil forces are at work at this moment to break down and destroy our Godly military personnel from within its gates.
Keep our heroes strong and vigilant.
God we praise you for all you have done for America.
Bless our military men and women, let them be as Davids against Goliath. Confident, courageous and victorious.
