A group of Sikhs and Muslims mostly from South Asian countries have joined the Donald Trump bandwagon in the US state of Maryland, asserting that the Republican presidential front runner is “not against” their communities.
Under the banner of “Sikh Americans for Trump” and “Muslim Americans for Trump” scores of Sikhs and Muslims held their first meeting in a suburb of Washington DC in Maryland, wherein a representative from the Trump campaign addressed them.
Organisers of the event from both the Sikh and Muslim communities argued that the view of Trump about minority community has been “twisted” and “taken out of context” by the mainstream media and claimed that the 69-year-old billionaire real estate magnet would create more jobs in the country which would benefit the minorities.
“He (Trump) is not at all against the Sikhs or the Muslim community. What he says is given spin. The mainstream media gives a spin. Because they are scared of him. He is not the status quo. He is not taking anybody’s money,” said Jasdip Singh, who helped organised the “Sikh Americans for Trump” in Maryland.
A prominent member of the Sikh community, Singh is Chairman of the Maryland Governors Commission on South Asian Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Sikh Associations of Baltimore.
“When he talks about Muslims, he does not talk about all Muslims or American Muslims. He spoke in the context of the refugee crisis that was happening in Syria. We (Sikhs) agree with him. Muslim (Americans) agree with him that we should not bring people into this country before we can vet them. And this was a temporary measures proposed by him,” Singh said.

This has to be the strangest election I have ever witnessed.
this just tells me that it was organized by non muslims and non Sikhs in the trump organization....to much bloody history between the group

Stranger than Muslims and Sikhs is David Duke and Luis Farrakhan both endorsing Trump....
I was there and it is real. Very exciting.

Has any other candidate in my lifetime been able to garner this wide of a cross section of voters? Nope.
If Trump wasn’t among the candidates, would there be this much support/energy for any one else running? Nope.

However both Farrakhan and David Duke warmly spoke of him and stated he was someone they could vote for.....stopping short of a full endorsement.
But if Trump can bring those two to the table, there is nothing he can’t do....
That must have been something to see. I can’t recall another Republican candidate appealing to such a wide audience in my lifetime (prior to be elected). I would have enjoyed being an eye-witness to that gathering.
Good to hear! A very exciting development because this will help prove that the race baiters are wrong about Trump.
There are Muslims who came here specifically because they were sick and tired of Sharia law in their own countries. Some call them moderates. Others would call them apostates.
But what do I know? This is a very strange Kumbaya moment in a very strange un-Kumbaya election season.
And in other news, President Obama, in coordination with CAIR, has used his ‘pen’ to issue a FATWA against these Sikh and Muslim apostates.
