I’ve been lurking since about 2006. I watched the flame wars of 2008 and 2012 so I know how it goes around here.
If he believes that he is the correct man to put this country back on track, and that the front-runner, Trump, is the wrong man, then it's right for this country to urge the other candidates to drop out and support him so that he can beat trump.
Ah-oh. I’m exposed now.
Trump on the other hand can do these things. He is advocating conservative principles and doing it in a way that's making it appealing to those that normally don' vote republican. He's a fighter AND knows how to lead. He will gut Hillary in the general.
Ultimately it comes down to who do you trust. Cruz IS part of the establishment. He mentored with Bush. He's taking huge amounts of money from corporations and lobbyists. He's already been bought and when the rubber hits the road he's not going to sell them out.
Trump isn't part of the establishment in any way, shape or form. He's outside the party apparatus. He's a rogue, a loose cannon in the political system therefore nobody is pulling his strings. His motivation for running can't be power or money. He's already got that. Why not believe what he says his motivation is...he sees American has been broken and wants to fix it.
Did you miss posts #6 and #7....just asking!!!
Lots of folks just the opposite!!!
Do you really believe Trumps not vying for Rubio’s voters...really!!
A fact they gladly ignore!!!!
Ain’t that the truth. I expect all tRump supporters to claim they don’t want Rubio and Kasich’s supporters because that would make them part of the establishment. In fact they must not want Cruz supporters either because they claim he is part of the “establishment”.
Good point.
It’s convenient that you draw a distinction between politicians being bought and the people who buy them!!!
Before the election season Cruz was the one guy the establishment hated above all and now Trumpers call him "the establishment" how soon we forget. Of course to them it's not the logic of the argument...it's the intensity!!!
To me there’s a big difference calling someone a “bot” which isn’t derogatory in my mind and calling someone a “chump” but no matter.
Just don’t understand calling someone names because they don’t agree with a person.
I would be fine with being called a trumpbot but not a chump.
He’s in second place, he’s a conservative, and he thinks more logically than you.
I don’t know why I’m wasting my time here, but here are the explanations of the meanings of the two words we’re talking about
chump - a person who is easy to trick : a stupid or foolish person
bot - a fan of
One is derogatory - the other isn’t - would you rather be called a “fan of” or “stupid” and if you think it’s okay to call someone else stupid, well, there’s nothing I can do to help that. Where I come from, it’s considered rude and I found it especially rude coming right after Jim’s post to everyone. But she didn’t call me a chump, I just hate to see bullying in any fashion so I responded.
