CPAC: Marsha Blackburn would consider being Trump’s VP

U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn said Friday she’d be open to becoming GOP front-runner Donald Trump’s vice president if he wins the nomination, and she believes the party is prepared to rally around him come November.

“You have some who say, ‘Oh we have different nominees,’ but look at it like this — it’s an outsider year. We’re going to have an outsider candidate who gets the nomination who becomes the next president of the United States,” said Ms. Blackburn during an interview at the Conservative Political Action Conference at National Harbor, Maryland.

Trump running with a female running mate, that would be interesting. If she is picked, she has to be prepared for the Palin Treatment. They’ll dig up every speck of dirt about her and her family, and if they don’t find much, they’ll just make it up.

He should say no to the bimbos. Blackburn, Nikki Haley and a few other women being promoted are complete morons.

He should run a regular business man or business woman he knows..

Marsha Blackburn:”I voted for the rule before I voted against Boehner’s Cromnibus”

The GOP could feel under pressure to have someone other than a white man as the VP nominee.

Hillary could well pick someone such as HUD secretary Castro as her running mate. Imagine the mediagasm as they praise a diverse presidential ticket, a ticket with a woman and a Hispanic.

And then imagine the contrast with the GOP if the Republicans have two white men on their ticket.

Just saying, Trump or any other nominee will face pressures about diversity on the ticket.

Remember too, the media and liberals don’t consider Rubio or Cruz to be Hispanic, so either of them on the ticket won’t count per the media and liberal criteria for such things.

He should run a regular business man or business woman he knows..

Not the parameters he has established for his running mate.

“He (Trump) should run a regular business man or business woman he knows.”
___________

As I recall, Trump has stated that he wants someone w/the political skills needed to navigate the bureaucracy for his running mate.

I am not really familiar with this Marsha Blackburn legislator, either.
One thing that I do know is that Republicans should not get into a panic about whether we are "diverse enough" for the mainstream media.
For goodness sake, most Republicans would have happily rallied behind someone like Condoleezza Rice if she ran years ago.

Though Blackburn (CR 76%) started out OK, she is now just another member of the Republican Establishment.

If Trump wants to be known as the guy responsible for the first female vice president, there are better choices than Blackburn, though they may not be in Congress. Heck, Congress is a big part of the problem. Why hire a losing player on a losing team?

Marsha Blackburn, from the pro-Puerto Rico statehood wing of the Republican Party. Trump still wouldn’t get any electoral votes from Puerto Rico.

A female would be a good demographic fit.
Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming is my choice.
Retiring after 4 terms in the House.
Might be too socially conservative for him, but might make that up with experience and securing conservative voters while coming out ‘even’ with women.
