I'd point out that there are Trump supporters actively wanting GOP candidates in Congress to lose, and not just in the primary.

If the Democrats win the Senate, Obama's nominee can be confirmed even if Trump wins the Presidency. That means goodbye Second Amendment, and hello censorship of political speech.

Some history about the GOP and SCOTUS.

During its post Civil War political ascendancy, the GOP was promoter and ratifier of Amendments 14,15,16 and 17. Additionally they nominated and confirmed virtually all of the SC Justices. This gang was instrumental in the rulings that crushed States Rights and centralized power in DC.

Fast forward to 1952. Eisenhower gave us Brennan and Warren; Nixon/Blackmun; Ford/Stevens; Bush/Souther. All were five of the most radical left wing justices in our history. Remember that the next time some republicrat type insists that the GOP is a party of strict constructionists.
