John McCain followed Mitt Romney on Thursday in blistering Donald Trump, warning that voters should think "long and hard" before making him commander in chief.

“I share the concerns about Donald Trump that my friend and former Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, described in his speech today,” said the Arizona senator and 2008 Republican nominee.

Next Dole. It's somewhat reminds me of the Buffalo Bills giving pointers on how to play in The Super Bowl.

I agree that McCain is a disaster. It may be hardening of the arteries--not his fault if it is related to his wartime imprisonment, and a very bad diet. But his reasoning ability is as much of a disaster as his voting record.

While he comes from a Southern Military family, where you would hope that he would know better, his position on many issues suggest that he has become an apologist for his heritage. His nasty statements against those of us who have not, makes him look very bad indeed. (I am leaving the expletives that come to my mind, as I type, out for considerations of good taste. But John has indeed become quite a piece of bad work.

We have not seen much of Dole since he and his dog were making Viagra commercials, featuring double meaning lines directed at the dog's state of arousal.

I respect Dole's service--I believe in Italy in World War II--but his Presidential campaign was totally inept. He appeared mentally stale--even twenty years ago--in all his TV appearances during the campaign (admittedly a bit livelier in his double meaning cracks to his dog).

“McCain is trailing Kelli Ward in the polls right now.”

I haven’t seen the polls yet. What are they saying?

Jerry Ford is pining for the fjords, poor guy
He was a decent man

Ford was a good man who happened to come along at a very unfortunate time.

A number of times in his life he said that one of his dreams was to one day be Speaker of the House. That being President wasn't something he wanted at all.

Says a lot about the guy.

OK, everyone, the Romney attack-Trump speech we just witnessed was the big GOPe get-Trump campaign that indications have been leaking out about over the last week.

The GOPe get-Trump committee got together in secret over the last few days and wrote this speech and got Romney to read it for them because they knew Romney still had the gravitas to get broadcast on all the news channels for free.

At Breitbart.com said, Romney is the hill that the GOPe chose to die on. Either this speech helps Trump because the GOPe’s out-of-touch attack on the GOP’s rank-and-file choice simply dumps gasoline on nearly 20 years of already red-hot anger, thus further propelling Trump towards being the GOP nominee, in which case the entire GOPe lobbyist, special interests, consultant class complex dies, or this last-gasp GOPe attack hurts Trump, leading to a brokered convention with some loser the rank-and-file voters hate, leading to a Hillary victory and the loss of the Senate and House as the rank-and-file GOP voters finally say enough is enough and stay home, culminating in the final, permanent, destruction of the U.S. Constitution when Hillary appoints Barrack Hussien Obama as Antonin Scalia’s replacement. This lose-lose position taken by the GOP aristocracy is typical behavior by the Stupid Party, unlike Trump’s positions where he wins with nearly any outcome, as explained by “Dilbert” creator Scott Adams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kydKTVLmP58&feature=youtu.be.

Romney’s get-Trump speech has finally laid naked for all to see that the Democrat party aren’t the REAL enemy of the people, that the fake opposition party to the Democrats are the real enemy. The Democrats no longer pretend to be what they are not: they are the party of national socialism, period. The Democrats have also repeatedly demonstrated that they are willing to sacrifice their individual members to advance their socialist agenda, e.g., Obamacare cost them the House and the Senate.

The GOPe on the other hand is interested in nothing but keeping their own gravy trains rolling along. And thus we all have proof positive of what we’ve known all along: the GOPe is nothing but the minority partner of the Uniparty, but that’s quite good enough thank you very much, just so long as their gravy trains keep rolling right along, what with all of those free shrimp cocktails and caviar at the posh gala D.C. soirées, free jet trips around the world, free five star hotel living, free five star restaurant dining, and free skybox seats at the major league sporting events, all paid for by the peasants and lobbyists.

One of the most interesting aspects to Romney’s get-Trump speech is that it was even necessary, because the GOPe as stupid as it is, did at least realize that neither Cruz nor Rubio had the chops to take Trump out, necessitating the GOPe to step in and bail them out. Nonetheless, do take note that the GOPe finds Cruz, Rubio and Kasich perfectly acceptable to them; Trump is the only one they are scared of, Trump is the only one they feel they cannot control, Trump is the only one who is not a member of The Club, Trump is the only man of the people. Trump is simply unacceptable to the enemy of the true people: the GOPe aristocracy.

I have been reading the many reactions here. This Romney attack has backfired. I will tell you this— It won’t change anything but I have about decided that Trump may be even stronger. IMO this is a first step to go third party if Rubio loses Florida. The establishment is so desperate that after Trump takes the party away, the donors and the puppet boys will flee to a third party. I also predict bush will be the vp candidate with Romney in the lead. But then how could a donor actually waste money on that? Oh well, who knows? What I saw today was unprecedented in American history. It was not backed up by any fact what so ever. Just all baseless conclusions and scurrilous slander of this great man Donald Trump giving back to this country with no secret motive and SPENDING HIS OWN MONEY!!! What a leader. He never backs down. The Debate tonight will be pop corn time!! Romney “blew it” .
