Cruz won the biggest state by a pretty big margin. And he won the only CLOSED primary held so far! Next week will be the big story of who will win—Trump or Cruz.

Closed primaries and winner take all states are voting. It will be YUUUGE. Rubio should quit after losing Florida.

In a two person race Cruz out performs Trump, but that can change between now and a two man race. Plus the GOPe will be playing tricks to keep the delegates from going to Trump or Cruz so they can have a brokered convention. Look for Romney to jump in to pull in delegates from California and other states.

Cruz won the biggest state by a pretty big margin.

His home state, and by historically small margins. Bush beat McCain in Texas with 88 percent of the vote.

And he won the only CLOSED primary held so far!

Cruz didn't win Arkansas, which was a closed primary.

In a two person race Cruz out performs Trump

This is a myth pushed by Cruzers using old and poorly made polls.

there’s an article posted that claims Trump votes in Texas were flipped to Rubio. So maybe not so big a margin?

While Cruz escaped that unenviable situation, his victory in Texas is decidedly shy of impressive.

In fact, by one measure, it is the least impressive home state primary victory in party history.

A Smart Politics analysis finds that Ted Cruz’s 43.8 percent showing in Texas marks the lowest support ever recorded by a Republican presidential candidate in a home state victory out of the more than five-dozen campaigns to win their home state since 1912.
