Morning FRiends! Snap!
Morning Sneakers. 61 degrees here. Hope all is well with you. I am doing good was up all night doing school work and this morning I’m gonna make me bacon, egg cheese biscuits. Quinn’s analysis, on Super Tuesday should be interesting.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz tired.
Morning GregB. Hope all is well with you.
Morning StoneWall. 25 degrees here, though it will warm up this afternoon. We’re looking at much higher temperatures next week - possibility up in the 70’s. Maybe Punxy Phil was right! I can’t wait for gardening season! I’m having the usual coffee and toast - this time with homemade peach jam.
Morning GB! Wow, I actually got another good nights sleep. Two nights in a row! Mr S had to rush son to the hospital last night, Believe it or not, son was stung by a wasp on the neck. Sat down on the couch in the living room and the darned critter dive-bombed him! Son is very allergic. So, quick trip to the emergency room. He’s ok. Mr S has been stung several times in the past - in the winter. When it warms up a bit, they come out of hibernation and find their way inside I’ve killed several in the past week.
Quinn talking about having the flu. There’s a young lady in our office who has been off for the last couple of days. Apparently she has the flu. I sure hope I can avoid it! Haven’t had a flu shot since 1977!
Here’s another Recipe for your test buds. Homemade ole time Pepperoni Rolls, you guys will love it.
1 1/2 cups of milk
3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 teaspoons of kosher salt
2 teaspoons of active yest (1 packet)
3 1/2 cups of all-purpose-flour plus more for dusting
1 large egg
One 6-ounce stick of pepperoni. Cut into 4 logs, and each split into half length wise,
1/4 cup of extra-virgin Olive oil,
1 1/2 cups of shredded Whole milk, mozzarella cheese.
In small sauce pan gentley heat the milk and butter until butter is melted. The milk should be a just little hotter than warm between 100 and 115 degrees F, but not over 115 degrees F. Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the sugar, salt, and yeast. Let mixture sit until the yeast, is activated and foam covers the top, 5 to 8 minutes.
Add the flour, to a large bowl and make a well in the center. Crack the egg into the Middle and pour in the Yest liquid. Make the dough, by mix all ingredients together with a rubber spatula. Make sure all ingredients are incorporated; the dough, will be sticky and loose. Leave dough, in the center of the bowl when it is fully incorporated. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place Until doubled in size, about 2 hours remove the plastic, and gently re-knead the dough while still in the bowl. Form into a ball as best as you can and cover with A plastic wrap. This time allow to rest in warm place for one hour.
After after the second rise, remove the dough to a very generously floured surface, kneading to bring together. Cut the dough into 8 pieces, about 3 1/2 ounces each. Gently form each of dough into balls incorporateing more flour, as needed use your hands to flatten each ball to 4 1/2-inch circle. Brush a pice of pepperoni with oil and place in the center, of the circle, along with 2 tablespoons of Shredded mozzarella. Fold the dough over the pepperoni, like a burrito and place a parchment-cover sheet seam side down. Repeat with the remaining pepperoni and cheese. As you place each pepperoni roll on the sheet tray, leave at least 1 inch or space around roll to allow a third rise (therefore you will need 2 baking sheets), cover the rolls loosely with plastic wrap and place in a warm place for 30 minutes. The rolls will puff just a bit.
Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F. Brush the tops of the rolls with the remaining oil and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. The rolls will have a rich golden color and crispy taste.
I’ve never had a flu shot ever in my whole life.
Those pepperoni rolls are great for parties, and appetizers for family gearthings and just good for snack.
I’ve got ‘em every year since 1995.. working in Chicago riding the “El train”..
They’re originally a West Virginia, recipe they were first made in I wanna say Wheeling.
Good morning!
Wow, First I’ve been able to listen today is the 8AM hour. Jim is really ill! The flu hit him really hard! He can barely complete a sentence.
Hope he gets better fast but he’s so bad he might not be in the rest of the week.
And so Trump wins a lot on super Tuesday but Cruz did get a couple.
Don’t recall if I mentioned it but our Durango passed inspection no problem. First time ever on that truck. It will need a new battery soon though.
Congrats on the Durango. Wow, you’ve had that vehicle
a long time!
I feel really bad for Quinn. He sounds awful. He really should be in bed.
If/when Trump wins, I hope he either makes Cruz his running mate, or nominates him to the Supreme Court. Cruz is truly a conservative gem who has fought congress. He needs to play an active role in govt.
It would be wonderful if Trump makes Cruz his running mate! Don’t see it happening but hey we can dream, LOL!
Quinn was playing a recorded segment so I turned the show off and will go to the archives later today. Him being live tomorrow is iffy.
That cold/flu whatever has been going around here. It’s at mrs p6’s work but so far she’s ok.
Hope plumbing is working out and not becoming a season long project. At least the weather should be getting a lot better from now on.
Do you really think that Cruz would accept a Trump offer to be his VP, I don’t?
Morning all!
For those that haven’t heard, the Article 5 Amendment Convention petition has been introduced in the PA Senate by Sens. EICHELBERGER, VOGEL, WAGNER, WHITE, ARGALL AND
CORMAN. The Bill is SR291. You can read the bill here: http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/billInfo/billInfo.cfm?sYear=2015&sInd=0&body=S&type=R&bn=0291
Proud of my State Senator today.
Six states have already passed resolutions: IN, FL, TN, AL, TN & AK.
Getting PA to pass a resolution would put some serious momentum into the movement.

I’m still kicking..thanks for asking.
