NR has become such a hateful, spiteful, Trump opponent that its ALL they think about and all they write about. Its so bad that theres no need to even go to their site anymore, you can predict how they will attempt Trump by whatever the news has been for the last day or two. Why give the assclowns the clicks. All this hissy-fitting by NR is unbecoming. It is absolutely disgusting. NR should be playing a role in shaping conservative thought, but it has evolved into a mean-girl, you-can't-sit-with-us travesty of it's former venerable self.

Gotta agree with all you’ve said. But. I reiterate insanity over vindictiveness. Go visit the landing page. It’s frothing, I tell you, rabid. What the heck are they going to write about after DT sweeps most of today’s primaries?

They’re not “out of touch” they just think you should get paid less per hour and they will gladly have a few of our children killed to get it.

IIRC, the National Enquirer has actually been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize (John Edwards affair story). Don’t think the National Review has been the same since the days of WFB.

Did they ever use this kind of language against Obama? Didn’t think so.

“Whats the difference between National Review and National Enquirer”
National Enquirer is more honest.
Perhaps a better comparison is Salon.

On the right - the GOP establishment.
On the left - the people.
In the middle - Donald Trump.

The National Review and its RINO writers are not fit to clean the toilet of an honorable man such as Jeff Sessions.

Why are they struggling so hard to become irrelevant?
Sessions support is a test for Trump. As Sessions has connections.
He brought with him a message and a new important supporter.
Trumps been told “You can’t always get what you want”. Watch the Sessions endorsement speech and catch the moment if you want.
The new important supporter was Chris Christie who is definitely on board for AG. He’s competent and even handed, and in fact very reassuring to the private apparatchiks who’s message he carries.

Sad to see this once august heirloom be reduced to this.
That said, so long, National Review. You were great while Buckley lived.
