The anti-immigration movement has come out swinging in the past several years, writing and proposing hundreds of restrictive state-level bills and berating a president who has deported more than a million people for not being tough enough. During this year's Republican presidential debates, candidates have peppered their arguments with plans for double-layer border fences, the theory of self-deportation, and even praise for Arizona's immigration crackdown.
This should come as no surprise, given the myriad connections among border hawk politicians, pundits, advocacy groups, PACs, foundations, and legal advisers.
Barletta seems like he'd be a Trump guy. Moderate but strong on immigration. Said he respected Trump. Said he will probably win.
Rand Paul & Mittens Romney are laughable additions to this picture.
Mother Jones???? WTF!
Im endorsing the fine picture of a patriots on there. Not the barf-alert story.
You got two of teh biggest players, Sessions & Kobach on Trump’s team.
I bet most of those people are NOT anti-immigration
Soros -- Merkel -- Zuckerberg -- Rubio -- Most of the Dem Party.
“who has deported more than a million people for not being tough enough”
right, they were just sitting around making daisy chains and singing Simon and Garfunkel songs. the good news is, we are about a million lighter in our prison population and our roads, children and homes are a wee bit safer.
sniveling article; good chart, tho
Don’t forget the Bushes.
In this case, the Bushes are the roots.
