He further declared the NYT piece categorically nothing but a bold-faced lie about me. And said the pieces author should have reached out to him first.
Later, Hannity said, Im getting pissed off at Marco Rubio too.
Marco, youre being inauthentic. Youre not Donald Trump. Stop trying to act like Donald Trump. And stop trying to be something that youre not. For nine debates, Marco Rubio, I thought presented himself well, and presented his ideas the way he is. And now whats bugging me about this whole thing is clearly all these establishment guys have sat Marco down and said, Marco, youve got to be somebody who youre not, and youve got to go after Donald Trump in a way you never have before.'

And then Cruz/Rubio shake hands behind Trump's back at the debate joining forces. Are we to believe Cruz has always been a closet establishment guy?
Cruz, Rubio, Limbaugh, Hannity etc. have been exposed for their double standards of their conservatism. It is the best thing that could have happened to them.
It’s enough to make one cynical.
I think it is great. Conservatism needs a swift kick in the @ss. Conservatives have become fat and happy. they need to perform and not just jawbone all the time and act like country club snobs.
I remember Rand Paul tried to imitate Trump early on in the campaign and failed miserably. Hitting Trump never works and always backfires.
“Marco, youre being inauthentic. Youre not Donald Trump. Stop trying to act like Donald Trump. And stop trying to be something that youre not.”
Hannity nailed it. Rubio suddenly trying to out-insult Trump isn’t working because in fact it IS inauthentic and works no better than when Jeb tried it.
Besides, almost all of Trump’s insults were premeditated and deliberate and had purpose, the most famous example being when Trump tagged Jeb as “low-energy” and it stuck. Likewise, “liar” has stuck to Cruz.
“Dilbert” creator Scott Adams explains the calculated brilliance of Trump’s strategies, which have boxed everyone in in such a way that Trump comes out a winner and his opponents come out losers no matter what direction his opponents take:

Rubio has always played ‘someone he is not’. The nasty smear artist of the past week or two is just the latest version. Rubio is completely for sale and can be anything anyone wants, for the right price.
At the least Hannity sees the “light” with Rubio.
There is a reason The NYT’s is called the NYslimes.
Very well said.
Could not resist. Just posted the Scott Adams interview. Very, very interesting. Facinating.
bump
In this sense, Team Trump have proven themselves quite capable. They mastered the finer intracies of use of Saul Alinsky tactics and have successfully constructed a potent yet nasty character assassination ops with which to vanquish opponents right and left.
I expected Hannity to keep his word and endorse someone.
After 10 debates and having himself interviewed them all personally many times.
Hannity just won’t do it.
Whether its because of What Ailes us all Roger.
Or its because he is just a ratings whore, and never wanted to stick his neck out. Sean do it do it.
The NYT used to be called the “old gray lady” —
these days I prefer the moniker “old gray slut” because the
paper is no more than a whore for the Dims. :)
Too little, too late, but really, Marco had to try something to change up the game - he tried to talk the issues but he was always a robot at heart.
There little charade is unraveling, isn’t it?
“Rubio has always played someone he is not.”
You mean pretending he was someone against amnesty when he was running for the senate?
“bold-faced lie”
It’s amazing how fast a simple error of grammar or spelling can become viral these days.
The term is, ‘bald faced lie’.
Now back to our program, already in progress...
“...almost all of Trumps insults were premeditated and deliberate and had purpose, the most famous example being when Trump tagged Jeb as low-energy and it stuck. Likewise, liar has stuck to Cruz.”
Trump has that rare ability to ‘brand’ people and other things. It’s not often that we see someone who has the power to fix a descriptive label on someone that sticks to them like glue, and forevermore defines them, as Trump does.
It’s like he’s got the ‘finger of death’ or something.
Amazing.
