Real simple. You don’t get to use the party for your political advantage then betray it when your choice doesn’t win an election. Political parties are not “my way or the high way” position. They are a collection of interests. If you lose, you don’t get to decided to betray the party choice and stay in the party.

Now, if Stasse wants to resign his position and his membership in the GOP then run an independent campaign for the Seat when in a special election for the office, that would be a principled thing to do. But this gutless parasites will never do that.

Hopefully, Trump will not get the nomination, and this will become moot. Also, Sasse is way more of a conservative than the non-con fraud Trump.

Thankfully Nebraska votes 70% Republican. Sissy can vote for whoever he chooses there...and it CHANGES NOTHING.

His BIG PROBLEM will be President Trump having HUGE RALLIES for his Primary opponent the next time he’s up for re-election.

“way more of a conservative”

Anybody who’d refuse to support the Republican nominee against Hillary is no conservative.

Trump will "save us" with his SCOTUS appointees?

From your dreams to God's ears!

Then I won’t be voting for a lot of his establishment buddies just because they’re republicans. We can play that game too. It is time to purge the party.

Look what we have gotten from both parties in the last 25 years. Hard to tell them apart, isn’t it. It’s all about power and money, not principals. This will continue into the future unless there is a change. Trump is that change.

“Trump will “save us” with his SCOTUS appointees?”

The two people he mentioned by name are among the most conservative on the bench, undoubtedly suggested to him by that “liberal,” Jeff Sessions.

See: “The Two Ultra-Conservatives Trump Would Nominate To The Supreme Court”: http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2016/02/19/3750758/what-if-donald-trump-wins-inside-his-plans-for-the-supreme-court/

Anyway, we KNOW Hillary will support Leftists for the Court. And Sen. Sassy is supporting Hillary. By doing so, Sassy is an enemy of my freedom, and my Second Amendment.

"In other words, if Sen. Sassy gets his way, Goodbye religious liberty. Goodbye Second Amendment."

What makes anyone really think that if republicans in Washington could disarm America they would not do so? Especially if they could blame it on the democrats.

If a 70 year old real estate tycoon is a fat life altering event for them, imagine if Trump loses by three percent and those 180,000,000 losing voters have guns, wanting to blame something they know needs blame.

Scalia - who wrote the Second Amendment-defending decision - was a Reagan appointee. It seems that Sen. Sassy wants Hillary to nominate his replacement.

Snap out of it. If Cruz wins it will be the same, and even if Rubio wins the media will set about to destroy him ala McCain and Romney.

Anyone thinking this problem is due to Trump is not seeing the big picture.

“Poor Voting record.”

If he refuses to vote for the GOP against Hillary in November, then all other votes by him are cancelled out. He’d be supporting Hillary to remake the Supreme Court - and do away with our liberties.

Sen. Ben Sasse - enemy of constitutional freedom. Enabler or Hillary. Destroyer of Scalia’s legacy.

Sasse. A Harvard Oxford boy who got a degree in philosophy and liberal arts. Goes into government of course because his degree is useless elsewhere. Used his vast experience in an appointed position at DHS. Ran against a navy pilot in the primary.

He’s a pussy, and his opinion is meaningless.

Young Man sounds like a brat — if he cannot distinguish between Mr Trump and Hillary he is not worth listening to.
