Besides the fact that Turkey has been trying to exterminate them for several centuries, I wonder why the Kurds would do that????

Wise of them, now we can move on to the destruction and partitioning of Turkey, and the resurrection of Constantinople.

Kurds want to survive this, and keep the turf they have captured from ISIS.

We won’t help them.

So, they’re getting help elsewhere.

Why we’re doing anything helpful for Turkey is the question of the day.

Good for the Kurds. I hope they kick ‘insurgent,’ ISIS, AND Turkish ass.

The Turks are supplying ISIS and giving them aid and shelter. The Kurds gave shelter to the Yadsis and Christians and the Kurds are kicking ISIS butts with aid from Russia, that WE should have given them. Turkey would give anything to turn this into a NATO involved operation to stop the Kurds. Who are not yet a recognized nation of Kurdistan. With Russian backing, they may just become one.

Quick, someone tell me what Turkey has done for the United States lately? Kind of like Marco’s accomplishments. All imaginary.

Exactly. They aren't doing this for ideological or religious reasons, but practical ones. Kurds got a better deal under Assad than they ever would under ISIS or Al Nusra (who the Turks may not like but probably prefer to Assad), and so would rather have him in power than any of the likely alternatives. The same is true of Syrian Christians and Yazidis.

Yeah, the Kurds are in cahoots with Russia and Syria. All three are trying to kill all the members of ISIS they can.

Turkey, on the other hand, appears far more interested in killing Kurds than ISIS.

Conflicting alliances in the Middle East? Never heard of such a thing.
