Trump Tuesday

Now that the political Revolution that is Trump has manifested itself in the reality of the vote in both South Carolina and Nevada the agents
of the political status quo are out in force. They are all busy constructing straw Trumps to knock down. They are recycling old stories that
have already failed to defeat Trump. They are adamantly asserting their purity to a conservatism that somehow allowed them to vote for Dole,
McCain, and Romney (the proud grandfather of Obamacare).

It has been a sight to behold.

Like watching film of Japanese soldiers rushing machine guns with sticks and swords because they are literally out of ammo.

“They wont care! They wont care!” is their usual whiny reply.

Yeah people dont care. They are sick of the take-down games and DC BS. They are saying to HELL WITH ALL OF YOU.

Trump’s biggest “crime” is that he had the nerve to run for office and win. That idiots on both sides got their asses handed to them and now they are ticked off at the people for having the nerve to not shut up, sit down, and vote for whom they demand.

Well too bad, so sad.

It’s sad to see how ineffectual they are.

As the other candidates start to try and tear Trump down, there is a theme emerging that worries me and I need to hear from the old timers and long term Conservatives on this forum. Why are we trusting that Trump is an actual Conservative? What is his policy to address the #1 issue of fiscal calamity that is befalling this country? I know and like his Immigration stand and I believe that with him we will get a large wall and security on the southern border, the rest is debatable. Please enlighten me...

Why are we trusting that Trump is an actual Conservative?

You are confusing "policy" with "power."

We have learned the "policy" espoused by the candidate is irrelevant to what will actually be implemented.

Trump support is about taking "power" away from the UniParty that we KNOW is not "conservative."

In all honesty i’m glad to see who is against Trump, if its a media channel i will ignore it, if its a newspaper i will ignore it, if its a person of power i will dig deep into that perrson with a mission, if confronted by persons i will stand my ground.

Reminds me of the Revolutionary War, Americans versus the Redcoats. Uniforms and hats you can see a mile away.

OK, I agree with that, and I can understand it since it has been in our face since Bush 41.... but isn’t there any fear that it may backfire? With that much power Trump may reshape things in the wrong direction, I mean he flipped from Liberal to Conservative on a bunch of issues, why so much faith that he won’t flip back at some point? IOW will Trump remember where is bread is buttered? Usually a “policy” Conservative remembers where he came from it is the politics that inevitably twists them away from sticking to their guns..

Speaking of the devil, Drudge is saying that good old Willard Romney will step up to the plate and enter the race if Rubio tanks. This gets more and more bizarre every day.

Yeah, dump Trump, the first candidate in recent memory to rally grass roots support on a previously unheard of scale, and vote for the guy who's already had his chance once and lost.

I don't know if the Republican Party will survive in its' present form for much longer at all. If the GOPe runs Romney, he will lose the election and they will lose the suckers who let it happen.

This is the story that will take Trump down:

Pay no attention to the detail that the Klansman's hand is black!

Someone wore a Klan t-shirt to a Trump rally. Two people wore Klan regalia outside a Trump event. We all need to shun Trump because the only thing we will not tolerate is intolerance. It doesn't matter whether Trump approved of those people, or even knew about them. It doesn't matter whether they were Rubio plants. Given the seriousness of the charges, Trump should be removed from the ballot in all 57 states, stripped of all delegates, and made to listen to a marathon session of Hillary speeches.

Here’s a short video (30 sec) of why I don’t trust many to do what they say while trying to get elected:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0lwusMxiHc

I think of the bomber pilots of WWII. When they were on a mission but couldn’t see the target, they knew that they couldn’t make it back with a full load. They had a rule:

When you’re taking flak, You’re over the target.

I look at the people working against someone, everyone can misrepresent themselves. If I were to vote for the candidate that I thought was most honest, it would be Bernie Sanders. While I disagree with about all of his stated policies, at least, I believe that he is honest about them.

I wish you well,
HLB

Surprised no one in the crowd pulled the head coverings on these phonies off

We need to start exposing who these people really are.

I have a feeling they are from the GOPe or the Hillary camp

LOL I have also felt that honesty connection to Bernie even though I hate everything he stands for, and I get your McCain points.... Trump is going to shake it up that is for sure and I won’t say we don’t need it, that is what he has tapped into, the only thing I hope is that he somehow brings unity back to the party.... we shall see...

I have no idea if Trump is an "actual conservative". In fact I don't think you could get a 10 person consensus on that question. But here is what I find appealing about Trump:

He does not know how to NOT do anything. He has tasted defeat, as have we all, but he has no idea of how NOT to try. It simply is not part of his make up. Ergo, what he says he will do now, he WILL do now. He doesn't know how not to. If what he says now differs from what he said 10 or 20 years ago, so what? He had no political power then, and people change.

The endearing characteristic is the inability to accept failure. Deal with it.

It’s good to hear your opinion. Mostly, I believe, this captures the sentiment of this election cycle:

Looking forward to that “Unity” thing happening. Thanks for your civility,
