I wonder if Georgia has a 20% threshold in order to receive delegates? GO TRUMP GO

Yes, I believe it also has the 20% threshold.

GA statewide:

1) if a candidate receives 50% of statewide vote, he gets all the statewide delegates

2) if no candidate receives 50%, those receiving at least 20% get a proportionate share of the statewide delegates. (and, yes, this could mean Trump gets all the statewide delegates with less than 50% if nobody else gets at least 20%).

District (3 apiece):

1. similar to 1 above

2. If no candidate gets 50%, the first place candidate gets 2 and the second place 1.

If Cruz wins Texas and both he and Rubio makes the threshold in Georgia and the other “winner-takes-most” states on Tuesday, we still have a meaningful contest.

If Cruz loses Texas and he and/or Rubio fail to make the threshold in many of the winner-takes-most states, it’s either over or its desperation time.

BTW this is how the process is supposed to work. Everything is going to schedule.
