PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- An Oregon woman is supporting Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign by selling ceramic pipes featuring his campaign logo.
Ariel Zimman, a 29-year-old artist from Portland, is selling the pipes through her company Stonedware and promising a portion of the sales towards donations to Sanders' campaign.
"It was really just a way to show my support for him as a candidate," Zimman told the Center for Public Integrity. "People love [the pipes], and once they hear they are contributing in some way to the campaign they are all about that too."
Zimman offers both short and long pipes for $60 and chillums for $30 with shipping and handling costing an additional $5. She told the Center for Public integrity that she has sold about $3,000 worth of pipes, generating $150 of donation money for Sanders' campaign.
She hopes to donate at least $200 more in the next month, but possibility of legal action against her pipes and a similar effort to sell "Feel the Bern" cigarette papers could force her to stop.
Zimman said she has yet to be contacted by anyone from Sanders' campaign, but would stop selling the pipes if asked and hopes Sanders would appreciate her business model.
"If they need me to stop and ask me to stop, I'll stop," she said. "It's not a huge profit scheme that I'm working on. I would hope that Mr. Sanders would be like, 'Yeah, you're a small business, and you're doing something that obviously is filling a need in the marketplace.'"

Well when I see the whole thing it makes sense. I guess I just expect the worst from the hipsters here in Portland. Maybe I’m getting old or buzzed from the second hand smoke. Ha ha
