Attorney General Loretta Lynch confirmed to Congress Wednesday that career Justice Department attorneys are working with FBI agents on the criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton's email practices and the handling of classified material.
Legal experts say the assignment of career Justice Department attorneys to the case shows the FBI probe has progressed beyond the initial referral, or "matured," giving agents access to the U.S. government's full investigative tool box, including subpoena power for individuals, business or phone records, as well as witnesses.
The Associated Press reported earlier this month that career lawyers were involved, but Lynch's comments are the most expansive to Congress.
"If the FBI makes the case that Hillary Clinton mishandled classified information and put America's security at risk, will you prosecute the case?" Republican Congressman John Carter asked Lynch during a budget hearing.
"Do you know of any efforts underway to undermine the FBI's investigation? And please look the American people in the eye and tell us what your position is as you are the chief prosecutor of the United States," Carter pressed.
Lynch replied, "...that matter is being handled by career independent law enforcement agents, FBI agents as well as the career independent attorneys in the Department of Justice. They follow the evidence, they look at the law and they'll make a recommendation to me when the time is appropriate,"

i am of the opinion ( humble it may be ) that stopping trump is so important to both sides that even hillary may be sacrificed if they dont think she can win.

With all the BS, Lynch will be the “Fire Wall” that stops further progress to insure odumbo doesn’t get dragged into this further. My bet is he had his finger in the Benghazi mess and is being protected to the hilt. Both odumbo and Hitlary should already be in jail.

I agree. I also think Lynch's announcement is positioning to actually indict, and say, "the career attorneys have spoken".
Think about it, the buck stops with Obama on Benghazi. He cannot afford to allow a Donald Trump AG to litigate this morass. If DOJ indicts now, there will be a possibility of a plea bargain, receiving a vow of Hillary's silence in exchange for a Petraeus-like slap on the wrist.
If Obama indicts, he can control the situation, otherwise, out of control.
The fix is in.

The DOJ must be exceedingly reluctant to be seen as taking action that would impact a presidential race. That is what is keeping Shrillary safe thus far.
It’s looking extremely likely that she will be the nominee. Sanders is fading and he is unwilling to do what it would take to knock her off her perch.
The case will be built from the underlings up to Shrill. Who at state was lifting info from classified docs and sending it to her private unsecured server? Why were they doing so? At whose behest were they doing so? Follow the bread crumbs.
Both parties have lost control of the process. The point now is who will further disrupt things by running independent. Bloomberg has to be putting out feelers to figure out the odds of Hillary crashing and burning.

Now that both the Bengazi and the Fast and Furious investigations have come back to life, it’s going to be a very interesting spring.
