Carson reached 24.8% in the RealClearPolitics average, higher than anyone except for Trump ever has. Cruz still hasn’t reached that high. It was a long fall down for Carson.

Ted Cruz better not even dare tweeting a like to this article or anything otherwise he will be playing “Doity Twicks”
Meanwhile “Virtually Already President Elect” President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho will continue tweeting random thoughts and insults everywhere with not need to apologize whatsoever....

Trump could pay his expenses for him to stay in and keep the field divided.

“Somebody just got fired from the Carson campaign.”
The last time Armstrong Williams opened his fat yap, it came out that he wasn’t even part of Ben Carson’s campaign. Unless something’s changed, that’s still the case.

Let’s say it’s not the smartest idea to have one’s personal business manager double as your defacto campaign manager/cheif strategist.
The staff revolt from last year pointed to the underlying problem...

Okay. I appreciate the mention.
Carson is a nice guy, but it sounds like what you are telling me pretty much confirms that he wasn’t ready for prime time.
This whole process is dogged in it’s trying ways.
Seems like that’s a filter that may not be all bad.

Mr and Mrs Carson are extremely nice folks. When my girlfriend worked with him 15 years or so ago, we had dinner with them a couple of times. Great people.
Williams, however, talked them in to doing things they just weren’t cut out for.

I think that he could learn to be Presidential material. He just needs a little more time to learn and mature. If he wants it, I’ll bet that he’ll have a pretty good shot at Veep in ‘16 or ‘20 or top of the ticket in ‘24.

Carson poses as “an honorable man.” I think he is just a con man.

Did he fire the other fool who reported to CNN that he was leaving the campaign trail the night of the vote to get “fresh clothes” a few states away? Because that was down right stupid.

Dr. Carson should quit while he’s ahead.
To: drewh
I would fire that guy immediately. He just undermined the upcoming votes for Carson.

Carson will quit when he runs out of money. In the meantime there are luxury hotels, fine dining and books to sell.

Sir, there are two passions which have a powerful influence on the affairs of men. These are ambition and avarice; the love of power, and the love of money. Separately each of these has great force in prompting men to action; but when united in view of the same object, they have in many minds the most violent effects. Place before the eyes of such men, a post of honour that shall be at the same time a place of profit, and they will move heaven and earth to obtain it. The vast number of such places it is that renders the British Government so tempestuous. The struggles for them are the true sources of all those factions which are perpetually dividing the Nation, distracting its Councils, hurrying sometimes into fruitless & mischievous wars, and often compelling a submission to dishonorable terms of peace. And of what kind are the men that will strive for this profitable pre- eminence, through all the bustle of cabal, the heat of contention, the infinite mutual abuse of parties, tearing to pieces the best of characters? It will not be the wise and moderate; the lovers of peace and good order, the men fittest for the trust. It will be the bold and the violent, the men of strong passions and indefatigable activity in their selfish pursuits. These will thrust themselves into your Government and be your rulers. -And these too will be mistaken in the expected happiness of their situation: For their vanquished competitors of the same spirit, and from the same motives will perpetually be endeavouring to distress their administration, thwart their measures, and render them odious to the people.
Franklin warned us.

“as the GOP establishment tries to figure out how to defeat conservative businessman Donald J. Trump”
Stopped reading right there. He’s anything but a conservative.
To: vette6387
If he can’t handle GOP candidate rivals how did he ever think he was going to deal with the democrats, Putin, China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia , Mexico. Iran, Israel, North Korea , ISIS, Afghanistan, Iraq and the Federal Reserve- all at the same time every day

A very large majority of Americans do not have in them what it takes to be President. There is no shame in that. At the same time, the current system vastly overrates and rewards telegenic narcissistic sociopaths. I’m not sure how that can ever be fixed.
