Since england imported many protestants to NI and Scotland its obvious they would vote to remain in the UK

I won't pretend to be an expert on Northern Irish or Scottish politics, but I do know someone from Quebec quite well. Quebec just had another vote on independence and turned it down. I asked my Quebec friend why the quebecois don't vote for independence if they guard their French identity so fiercely. She said it was because so many non-French had moved in, both from within Canada and from without, that the voting base had lost its Quebecois potency.

Now, given British history, I'd say it is a darn good chance that the same thing has happened in both Scotland and N Ireland. The Brits deliberately flooded N Ireland with Scots, who, at the time, were more or less loyal to the UK or, at least, were not entirely sympathetic to the Irish cause.

Then we take that knowledge and apply it to current politics worldwide, and we realize that Western countries are being flooded with people who are not loyal to their new homelands, and thus will not vote to preserve that culture or tradition even unto the second or third generations. Is it deliberate? Well, despite my belief that humans can be incredibly stupid, nobody is THAT stupid. Yes, it's deliberate.
