75 percent of voters were Evangelicals. Trump whipped Cruz's ass. You can't blame the Democrats for this one.
What happens when you lie, tell half truths, and misrepresent. It started in IA and got worse.
So why didn’t an evangelical like Santorum win any delegates in SC back in the ‘08 election? Neither did Huckabee, Reverand Huckabee. And why does Lindsey Graham keep getting re-elected when he is a Dino?
You really think that everyone who identifies as an Evangelical is Republican?
And how do you know this? They didn't do this in Iowa, which is a closed primary state.
Trump whipped Cruz's ass.
In a state where Democrats could vote for him.
You can't blame the Democrats for this one.
Well, till I see better data, this theory seems pretty reasonable to me. Trump is garnering huge support among Democrats and minorities. This ought to translate into votes in an open primary.
Wrong. That's just the media trying to simplify it.
Born agains - those who actually practice their faith, all went for Cruz.
Those who said they were Christians but don't practice it went for Trump. (It's a "Number 2 Corinthians" thing.)
The Pope turned many of those evangelicals into voters for Trump. They don’t like to see any foreign religious leader getting involved with our election—and that goes triple for leaders of the Catholic church like the Pope.
Protestant evangelicals have been anti-Catholic ever since the Republic was formed, citing suspicions that the Pope would interfere. It took decades for this issue to subside, defeating Al Smith and finally put to bed by JFK.
But what the Pope said gave a boost to those evangelicals who have retained doubts about the Catholic church and I think many of them voted for Trump to express that feeling.
75 Percent evangelical? why? because they said they were? So if you had an interest in demoralizing the Cruz campaign, how would you go about accomplishing that? Perhaps making it out to look like he wasn’t supported by his core constituency? An open primary sets up the perfect storm for this. Just a simple mans opinion.
>>75 percent of voters were Evangelicals.
This wouldn’t be the same pool of webels who elected Windsy Gwahm to wepresent them in the Winocwacy, would it Biggus?
{centurions snickering}
Are you brain dead?
Southern Democrats are very “evangelical”
