I've made fun of it many times in the past, but it's amazing how the "women's rights" groups are laying low on this.

Amazing is one way of putting it. Generously, they're only concerned with women's rights in the US, beyond our borders morality takes a back seat to political expediency. So much for their moral arguments.

Time will tell, though I'd suggest the voice of the American people may be more important. Americans are overwhelming against large scale refugee transfers. And illegal immigration. Though not my choice, if Trump turns out to be the one to represent that majority, that's fine. If the results are positive, nothing wrong with populism as a politicians motivation rather than long held beliefs. Not suggesting most politicians have long held beliefs.
