Rick Tyler may have a different version of who was responsible for everything.

Rick Tyler is a slick fellow, but he is just one of many hired by Cruz who has been doing exactly what he was hired to do. In other words he is a scape goat... who knows which one of the team actually came up with the idea for this latest false ad against Rubio. I would give about 10 to 1 odds that it wasn’t Rick Tyler.

This is just one small example of the type of misinformation that the Cruz culture has come up with. The Cruz culture may be on the opposite side of the political spectrum, but the members feel every bit as justified as Obama or Clinton using any type of dirty trick to win and that the end always justifies the means. We have seen many examples here at Free Republic from certain posters. There are those who continue with a false narrative long after it has been thoroughly debunked.

This type of tactic normally does work well, but this year people are much more sensitive to it, and it is not working. I am glad to see that Cruz has taken meaningful action to try and change his campaign’s direction. I hope that the message trickles down to all levels of his supporters. This move has made me wonder if his reputation has been unfairly tarnished by his own upper echelon and his supporters. Let’s all hope that Ted really is not as bad as his supporters have made him seem. He still could become our next president at this critical time.
