I would have liked to go to the Forbes site but they wanted me to turn off my add blocker. I am not turning off my add blocker for anyone.
I use firefox with ad block plus. I got a blank white page, but no article and I’m like you, I’m not turning off the ad blocker.
Ditto.
I won’t turn mine off either .... I have found that sometimes if you copy the title & put it in your browser, you’ll find other ways to get to the article.
This one just worked for me:

When I clicked on the forbes link at the bottom of the excerpt, it went right to the article on the forbes site with no message to turn off adblocker.
your loss. you only need to turn it off for that one article.
It’s your loss.
Use the new ad-blocking browser called Brave. Works fine at forbes, with no ads anywhere.
See:

I feel the same as you. When I went there, I got a box that said “Thank you for turning off your ad blocker.” I had not turned off my adblock plus.
Ditto. And since one of my dear offspring installed it, I don't even know how to disable it.
I had the disconcerting experience of having to call my "household-name" internet provider recently over a completely non-related tech issue, during which they told me several times I would have to discontinue using AdBlocker. I told the nice young man from India several times no way, and they would just have to find a way work around it. So finally he backed down, but not before trying to trick me into giving it up so I could be bombarded by THEIR ads non-stop.
