Because Cruz has no experience in running a business, investing in a small business, or owning a business. He has been a government employee all his life. He will do the bidding of his ultra-rich donors such as the Wilks family of Cisco, Texas, New York hedge fund tycoon Bob Mercer, Texas energy investor Toby Neugebauer and Illinois manufacturing moguls Dick and Liz Uihlein. He has received $37 million from just these 4 rich donors.

So you’re saying Trump, and you, are for the individual mandate?

As I just explained yes. What's cruz's or rubio's plan?

I feel the same as you. When I went there, I got a box that said “Thank you for turning off your ad blocker.” I had not turned off my adblock plus.

I don’t really know what you are blathering about.

Trump is stating the right solutions for EVERY SINGLE ISSUE IN AMERICA NOW.

Well, he might be holding a position contrary to mine on eminent domain, but otherwise he is 100% right. On every single issue.

Every one.

Trump would be an economic disaster - if any of his ideas actually are implemented.

Imagine a 25% price increase for American consumers and businesses.

I disagree.
I was a member of the Cleveland International Trade Lawyers Association, before turning to R.E Law. During my time as a member serving with fellow trade attorneys it quickly became obvious that those wonderful lessons learned in fine business and law schools, bore little semblance to the real world of International Trade. Meeting after meeting lawyers would discuss the corrupt governments, bribes of public officials and illegal techology transfer that that were true barriers to trade for our Midwestern manufacturers.

From the Steel dumping cases of the eighties all the way through today, United States trade reps have done a lousy job holding these countries to account and we need our government’s help to enforce the deal.

It takes years to get through international tribunals to defend one’s products and often those tribunals are just as corrupt as the government who allowed the theft in the first place.

Some of our manufacturers would take the unusual step of not selling into these countries to avoid the reverse engineering of their equipment, only to realize that an Asian trade partner, sent the product to China, breaching the original agreements to allow access to our products.

I understand the concerns about the US entering into a trade war; truth is we have been in one before the 1990’s.

I am an old Reagan era economist Milton Friedman fan, including his book and PBS series titled “Free to Choose.”

Me too. I remember watching it when it first aired. I just got the series last week and am going to watch it again.

I agree, which is why I fully support him, but you asked why he sometimes says things like, 'he supports the individual mandate'.

I replied that he hasn't yet felt the sting of rebuke from his supporters for anything he's said. That will change for him, as it does for every president. When they go off the reservation, their supporters let them know right away. Most presidents are smart enough to shift course immediately after crossing their base.

Same thing is going to happen to Trump, and it's not a bad thing at all. It's how we citizens keep them in line.

International trade is not all that difficult to understand.

In a perfect world there would be “FAIR TRADE”. Your country would have trade deficits with some others and trade surpluses with others, with overall balance close to zero.

However in the real world, the ultra rich and the big international corporations make bigger profits by exporting manufacturing to cheap labor countries, and then import those products into USA without tariffs.

But it is even worse than that. Countries like China & Japan are exporting hundreds of Billions of dollars worth goods to USA with zero tariffs, but make it very difficult for American manufacturers to export products to their countries. For example China wants to buy several Boeing passenger planes. But they want them manufactured in China!

Result is there is no “FAIR” trade. We are currently running $1,000,000,000,000 (1 Trillion) trade deficits EVERY YEAR. If there was fair trade, we should be exporting $1 Trillion worth more products every year. Can you imagine how many more jobs would be necessary to manufacture that many products in USA?

Trump was the first to talk about this problem. That is when I became a supporter, since I have worked for one outfit which had some export business and know first hand the barriers we faced in most foreign countries.

The good news for Trump from the FR standpoint is that the management is not banning people who support him.

You should ve seen the flame war eight years ago over Giuliani. Or four years ago against mitt Romney.

That is pretty much why I have not posted much here in the last four years. It was Ron Paul or nothing here and of course we got nothing. The Cruz people are I think that same mindset.

Trump wants to raise tariffs on foreign cars. Your car, should you choose one will cost much more.

It is a tax on consumers that goes to auto manufacturers. How is this different from a government bailout of GM?

Imagine this writ-large, as Trump wishes to do to.

There is NO official position on Trump web-site on mandates, or healthcare or health insurance. The “mandate” thing was picked up by media during interview by Anderson Cooper of CNN. Trump clarified that this morning on Fox News interview saying he was not talking about healthcare mandates with Anderson, it was on some other subject and they were talking over each other. What he did say is that no Americans will have to die on the streets because of lack of healthcare insurance. Which actually means poor Americans will not be forced to buy health insurance.

We should wait until Trump posts his official healthcare policy. He is obviously extremely busy with so many primaries coming up within next 3 weeks. I expect official Trump healthcare agenda published in April-May 2016.

You do realize Trump has now said he is not for an individual mandate. Are you against his healthcare policy now?

As for an alternative policy, I favor: Repeal every word of Obamacare.

I would much prefer to have a manufacturing job paying me $30-35/hour and pay more for a imported car, than have a minimum wage or part-time job and can not afford any decent car.

Thank you for clearing that up. I'll bet you've had to post that debunking statement a dozen times today.

Don't ya just hate when that happens? Been there, done that, too many times to count.

Actually Trump has been very consistent on his plan for healthcare. You guys have been taking what Trump as said over multiple interviews out of context in an effort to miss represent what his plan is. Now, I have answered your questions, you answer mine please. What is cruz's plan?
