Donald Trump said Sunday he actually opposes Obamacare's individual mandate, following up his reversal last week of his apparent support for the law.
The GOP presidential frontrunner told CNN's Anderson Cooper Thursday that he "likes" the healthcare law's requirement to have health coverage. He tweeted the following day that he would actually repeal it, along with the rest of President Obama's healthcare law.
On CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday Trump said he doesn't like the mandate at all.

Nothing like sticking to one story line........and they call Cruz a liar.
He likes it, always has, always will.
Article is misleading. Trump had already clarified almost immediately on Twitter when it came up, and what he was talking about was clear from the context anyway.
Well on Media Buzz he said he likes the Mandates because he doesn’t want dead poor people in the streets!! So he must be flip flopping on this issue and many others maybe!!!
So Trump’s problem is not that his story keeps changing, it is that he cannot articulate his positions?
Don’t bother. Lying is not a strategy that’s panning out well for Cruz and his supporters. Never interrupt your enemy when he’s in the middle of making a mistake.
Everyone who actually cares to know anything about Trump’s platform knows he was talking about pre-existing conditions, and that he’s been for repealing Obamacare for the duration of his campaign.
Trump is shrewd enough to get it Obamacare isn’t a rallying point with GOP voters.
The main thing for him is to sit on his lead through ST and run out the clock.
Walking back his backing of the unloved “individual mandate” is part of it.
For Trump now, controversy isn’t going to propel him where he needs to be.
Considering I didn't even notice anyone discussing it during any live threads I saw at the time on different websites, and I myself didn't notice it, makes me think the problem isn't Trump's articulation.
I was watching and unfortunately he talked over Anderson. He explained this today on CNN. He said it wasn’t Anderson’s fault but himself for not waiting to answer. They were talking at the same time and each trying to get their views out there. Trump doesn’t have things memorized as most and talks off the cuff. I understood Trump but some hear what they want.
He’s been trying to launch trial balloons on getting rid of Obamacare.
Not all of them well thought out. But to be fair, his GOP rivals don’t have a replacement plan for it either.
Trump says a lot of things he doesn’t really believe and no one makes a fuss over it.
If I had to believe every promise a politician meant to keep, I’d lose track of them all.
Trump will say or do anything to get elected, and if you don’t like it, he’ll sue.
Changing your mind, is not lying.
I think Reagan would recognize that.
Forget that just two weeks ago he said exactly what he said in Sept:
“Everybody's got to be covered. This is an un-Republican thing for me to say because a lot of times they say, 'No, no, the lower 25 percent that can't afford private.' But"
Good thing Trump supporters are smart enough not to realize when he's lying to them.
LOL - no he hasn’t. He’s making it up as he’s going along. He attacked conservatives and what we stand for from the campaign stage over his issue saying it was the government’s role to take care of everyone and “you conservatives” are “going to have to get used to it!” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3ULSN70tuo&index=14&list=PLJcbhHQDR9da0H3-Qs-7WEEj6tam9vlh3 His problem with Obamacare is that it doesn’t go far enough. Now he claims Republicans typically want people to die in the street and he’s going to change that declaring his belief people shouldn’t be dying in the streets to be an “unRepublican” viewpoint. Straight out of the liberal Democrat playbook - identical to the nonsense used by Democrats when they were pushing through Obamacare “Why don’t you want the sick to be able to get medical care?” in response to every concern over the legislation that was raised. Apparently that message is now appealing to a significant number of Republican voters - at least enough for a plurality in a crowded field. Shows just how far downhill things are going in this country.
Last Friday:
@realDonaldTrump: I was asked about healthcare by Anderson Cooper & have been consistent- I will repeal all of #ObamaCare, including the mandate, period.
@realDonaldTrump: I was referring to a backstop for pre-existing conditions. I will eliminate the law, in its entirety, & replace it w/ something much better.
Appears he’s less articulate than Obama. But he’s a hell of a better patriot. And capitalist.
Yours is the second post I’ve see today from Trump supporters indicating that he says things he doesn’t actually believe or that what he says should not be taken literally.
Is that actually your position?
Many people seem to gravitate to Trump because they see him as the “speaks-from-the-heart-tells-it-like-it-is-says-what-everyone-else-is-thinking” candidate. You seem to be saying that isn’t true, that he says things he does not believe.
How do you know which of his statements he believes and which he doesn’t?
I'll defuse it for you - Reagan was never pro-abortion. The issue was much less polarizing in 1967 then it is today. He signed that bill thinking he could soften it since he was going to be vetoed.
After admitting to signing that bill being a mistake, he took up the mantle of life. Unlike Trump, Reagan never promoted abortion nor did he seek to support it.
This flip is nothing like that because it's not a flip. He wants Universal health care, he wants to go after big Pharma for part D pricing, he wants everyone covered.
It's hard to accept his liberal leanings I'm sure, but show Reagan some respect and leave him out of any comparisons. He fought for the Conservative cause, Trump has done nothing for it prior to June 2015.
Heh heh ... just kidding!
A true capitalist, a true conservative, a true liberty-minded-we-have-theriggttopursuehappiness would never force someone to buy something.
