This is exactly why the Detroit police chief has told Detroit’s residents to arm themselves. Crimes have taken a dive since he gave that advice. Burglary and robbery has become a more dangerous profession there.

Apparently this guy had heard what the police chief said so he brought a gun to ready himself for an armed resident. Unfortunately he wasn’t prepared for the resident who would refuse to answer the door, LOL.
Newark NJ should be telling the residents the same thing; the city can’t pay enough competent cops (when they had layoffs a few years back, they ended up with an older department), so the residents who don’t pay for police protection simply don’t get any. Resources are concentrated in the small downtown area to protect the businesses that pay the bills, and the portions of the city inhabited by those who contribute least (actually nothing) resemble Mogadishu.
