SANTA ANA -- Three people died and two others, including a police officer, were wounded in a rash of shootings across the city this week, underscoring what the police chief on Friday called a surge in brazen gang-related crimes.
Santa Ana police Chief Carlos Rojas said it was the worst week in a year already rocked by the 'busiest' January for his department since 2011.
"We're seeing more gang activity now, and I think a lot of that has to do with gang members being released into the community and more of a soft-on-crime approach," Rojas said.

With all the state’s ‘’entitlement’’ program giveaways, a major financial crisis is a typical financial situation that Socialist California often finds itself in. They once again ran out of other people’s money.

This is the county where the new sheriff revoked a lot of concealed weapon permits a few years ago.
They should arm the lawful residents with street sweepers and go to work.

The usurper and his communist cronnies have successfully redirected all the sewer lines (prison release) back into the cesspool. He has introduced massive amounts of new sewage (illegals).
Things will only get much worse.
Once nominally safe places (metro system in D.C., same in NYC, parks, malls, downtowns everywhere) have seen an enormous uptick in slashings, knockouts, unprovoked attacks. Folks being attacked on their way to work, at formerly “safe” entertainment venues, etc., etc.
If you live in/near a democrap city you are next in line. If you are a law-abiding citizen in the vastly expanding urban ghetto you are doomed.
The sheer size of the criminal underclass and the sizable profit and votes for the democrap judicial and political class makes the problem absolutely permanent.
There is nothing you can really do except to retreat to relatively safe places, wall up, and buy guns and ammo.
