Nothing would surprise me at this point. As we speak more folks from the Mideast are on final approach. We have lots of enemies from there. This is a really bad idea. The motives behind these polices are at best suspect and questionable.
Tonight, there was an incredible discussion on another thread on this issue.

I’m guessing they did this at the FBI’s direction. I believe what happened is resetting the pass code probably got them in but doing that also blocked them from retrieving targeted past data.
The most fascist IT folks work in gubmint. They sell there black magic mumbo jumbo to unsophisticated elected officials that believe every word out of their mouths and use that as power over the rest of the departments. The software is always outdated or custom made and it literally takes years to upgrade to more efficient softeare or hardware.
My guess is that is what happened. Some overzealous nerd was following some stupid policy regardless of the outcome.

You don’t need the iPhone to change the iCloud password (and the iPhone password isn’t necessarily the same as the iCloud password).

Simple question: what is the name of the person that (changed) tampered with crime scene evidence, and who ordered him to do it?
Maybe the county didn’t want anyone to know his job details. Work an hour a day and then build bombs and plan attacks for seven hours.
As I’ve said earlier: what is the name of the “person” who changed the password, and who instructed him/her to do it?
How would I know?
