It is all well and good to stick up for the person you think will be best for America, but it gets tiresome to keep reading the anti-Trump rants where he is painted as the worse candidate in the world and all his supporters are ignorant fools.

I can not speak for others but for me I do not care if Trump is a conservative. As for me, I am escaping the “conservative plantation”, the one that politicians take for granted as if I had no where else to go.

I have seen the Republican party put up weak candidates that as weak as they were, should have won but for one reason, they were unwilling to fight the opposition, on anything.

I don’t care how “conservative” Cruz is, where has he been the past few years? Why hasn’t he been vocal about all the changes the Democrats have made in our country? I do not know his reasons for not being out front and vocal on these issues, but could he be afraid of standing up to the left?

Don’t tell me he said this, or he did that, because if he had, he would be the one being demonized by the left instead of Trump.

I am supporting Trump for one basic reason, he is not afraid to take on the left (and I guess the right).

I believe Trump is to the right of Sanders and Clinton (or any other Democrat that may end up running). I have supported non conservative Republicans in the past so see no real problem supporting Trump now.

So once and for all not all Trump supporters are ignorant of Trumps short coming, it is just that they do not matter.

Deaf? Blind?

Who did they blame for shutting down government and for what purpose was it done? Just how much more in your face could he have been about Obama care?

There are many speeches on the floor of the senate calling attention to what Obama and DC cartel have been doing. He’s only a senator, not some superman. If you have the courage:

Where is a speech by Trump even close to the above?

So what has Trump actually done with all his wealth to actually make a difference politically until he wanted the Presidency? What cause has he put his wealth and power to?

Name one.

Well spoken and concur! Is Trump perfect? No. Anyone currently running perfect? Nope.

Remember when Republicans complained about how candidates only fight against other Republicans but never the Democrats and are cowards to the media?

Remember when Republicans said we need a candidate that expands the tent to include moderate Democrats and Independents?

Well, now we have one.

Do I consider Trump a conservative? No. I consider Trump a populist, but more importantly an AMERICAN.

Do I consider myself much more conservative than Trump? Absolutely.

People may ask, “so why not support Cruz?” I do support Cruz as my #2 choice and would crawl over broken glass to vote for him in the general election if he is the nominee.

Trump has a few advantages that put him as my #1 choice:

1. No one has put the illegal immigration and Muslim refugee issues on the front burner like he has. Trump has taken the backlash and stood firm, forcing the rest of the Republican field to move toward his position. If Trump wasn’t in the race, the term “comprehensive immigration reform,” i.e. amnesty, would be spouted ad nauseum by the candidates. Not hearing it so much now.

2. Trump has showed Republicans how to fight against the media and win. The other candidates are now starting to emulate the approach. Regardless of outcome, Trump has provided a valuable service to the Republican party.

3. Trump has very likely caused serious harm to the Clinton and Bush dynasties that will take a long time to mend, if ever. Remember when Hillary started that “war on women” meme with Trump, how he hit back and both Hillary and Bill ran for cover? You think any other Republican candidate could have done that? I don’t think so.

4. The presidency by nature is an executive position. No one in the Republican field can match Trump’s experience in that area. For a change, it might be nice to have a chief executive that has experience signing the front of paychecks rather than just the back.

CIB, thank you for your service!
